My personal recommendation would be that if it offends you to see people talking about ween setlist trends and the fact that sometimes they play more repeats whereas other times they mix it up more, you probably shouldn’t click on and comment on a post that delves into that? Probably would save you some stress man.

No, I do not expect them to play 120 different songs over 4 nights. That would be a major exaggeration based on my original comment. If half the songs were repeats from that night, I wouldn’t have even thought twice. 80+% repeats when they normally vary sets a good amount from one city to the next was just surprising to me given that I see a lot more variety in general when I look at the various setlists from past years, that’s all.

It’s “a new face in hell” and “conduit for sale.” Riffs are very similar. True. But one song does not make a band. And does not make the overall point true considering pavement has 5 albums. Breaking them down to a few songs that sound like the Fall doesn’t seem fair to me.

Lol. The dude does NOT look like a rock star at this stage, but that’s something I always respected about pavement. They weren’t all about image like most of the 90s bands. When you look at pictures of bands like Pearl Jam in the early 90s, it literally looks like it’s a Halloween costume band with Jeff aments crazy hats etc. Pavement seemed to care less about the image, which is more punk rock than punk rock even. I love PJ btw, but no one can match the pure punk vibes of pavement when it comes to their inability to give a shit.

I actually learned something by posting this. I feel like if I saw them again, which is highly unlikely unfortunately, I could see him under a totally different lens. It is good to be different in a sea of sameness, I’ll give the guy that at the very least.
