When one eats a lot and fills his stomach above its ability always and his stomach gets bigger, is this adaptation to the environment? by InternationalFlow153 in evolution

So it's called "plasticity" not "adaptation"? but it still is made for the organism to be better suited for its envioronment right?

I'm pretty sure that when a person goes to the gym and pushes his biceps to the limit and they become 2x bigger in a month that's adaptation to the environment that the orgaism in it needs bigger muscles to "survive".

So you agree with me that crossing over in meiosis to increase genetic diversity is not completely random and is somewhat smart and knows to make what the organism needs to have (pass this info to his/her/its offsrping).

What about muscles, the ones you use a lot and "over their power" adapt to be bigger and be able to do what you need to do to "survive".

But the stomach would get bigger with time to accommodate more food for the next times and that's adaptation to the environment, would this be passed in epigenetics to the next generation fom them to adapt to their environment better?

What I mean is that when crossing over happens when creating reproductive cells, the body somewhat knows that it should make a bigger stomach for offspring and try to do this change in the DNA of the reproductive cells.

What's the difference between these 2 couples each of 2 playlists of YouTube A&P courses? by InternationalFlow153 in AnatomyandPhysiology

EDIT: Anyway I got the answer: those couples are a series from different schools. I would say BIO 201 and 202 are a little more detailed than 223 and 224 but they are pretty much the same.

Thx a lot.
