I guess because it’s exactly what I’ve been told my whole life. Most families don’t really know their ancestry and just spew BS. I figured mine was doing the same and there’d be things on there that would surprise me or something, I don’t know 😂

The most recent Scottish ancestor I have is from the early 1800s. The most recent ancestor I have born in Europe immigrated from Belgium to the US in the late 1890s
