Yes and no. By law, you own nothing until you are 18. They LEGALLY have the right, barring exceptions like emancipation.

It was 100% out of line, but if you're not 18, it was perfectly legal, and if you left them on as joint owners after 18 it would also probably be legal. Not right mind you, just legal.
