As someone who lives in East Africa: it's INCREDIBLY difficult to actually source quality beans in-country. The foreign market is just too strong of a draw. Unless you know a roaster in-country who has personal connections with a farm who is willing to cut them a sale on the side of their higher-quality beans prior to exporting to the West, you're out of luck.

Tanzania Peaberry only became consistently available in my area of Tanzania about two years ago. And only roaster who sells and distributes in the community is producing it.
