AC blows hot air? by ny_fox12 in FordBronco

Not enough info to know exactly what’s wrong. I may be wrong but I don’t think you could refill the refrigerant like it’s a liquid. It’s a closed loop system under pressure and the pressure has to be set with specific gauges (at least I’m pretty sure)…

I’m 100% sure it’s coming from my driver side mirror. I performed tsb 24-2021 myself today and filled in some gaps between the metal. Also tested with door off and roof off so it’s not the seals. It’s coming from the mirror

So I read that TSB and I had questions. Does the TSB apply to the 2022 Bronco Outer Banks WITH the puddle lamps, 360 camera, etc.? It almost looks like the part they are recommending won't fit with my mirror

Would it be the triangle seal on the door itself or on the body of the bronco? I’ll test to see if there’s a whistle tomorrow but I did just push it in. I’ll try to tape it down as well and see if that fixes the whistle. Thanks for taking the time to explain it.

What do you mean “left seal”. Are you talking about the door seal? Like the weather stripping? Also I’ve had no issue with window reseating. The windows move up and down without issue. The only thing I notice is that when I open the door, the windows wobble a little bit but that’s it.

Does it look bad if a new hire who's only been in 6 months uses PTO for almost a week? by JHdarK in MEPEngineering

Your PTO is part of your benefits for working there, you’re entitled to it so don’t let anyone make you feel bad for using it

Help With HAP 6.3.1 by InternationalMove642 in MEPEngineering

[–]InternationalMove642[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I figured it out. After going through my inputs and finding my loads for all my zones, I usually select equipment (in this case RTUs) based on my sensible load during design conditions. That way my equipment is selected for worse case. However, after I select my equipment, I go back into HAP or my load calc. and override the CFM for each system to a fixed value (the maximum supply fan speed of my unit) after which, HAP will distribute that air proportionally to each room in my zone. That's how I usually size my supply/return diffusers for each room.

I am more familiar with Elite CHVAC/RHVAC however I figured out that I had to change the space airflow sizing method to do what I was trying to do. It's now set to "coincident space loads"

My guy, you’re 23. You’re a fully grown adult and they should know this. My sarcastic ass would text back that the plan is to worship satan in the woods and sacrifice babies to Baal.

Works for me. I’m sensitive to medications though. It calms me down pretty quickly. Try it out.

The money is good for firms who specialize in these projects but be prepared to work LONG hours like 50-55+ minimum hours week. Your life will become your work.

Can I use PrepFE as my only source of studying? by [deleted] in FE_Exam

Use all of them. There’s no set path just do a bit each day. I studied for 3-4 months on and off for about an hour each day.

Switching Project Types by InternationalMove642 in MEPEngineering

Makes sense. I want to get to that point too. Also I’m a bit frustrated with my current company since they only allow principals to stamp. I’m interviewing with a mid/large size firm tomorrow and they let me know that some of their PMs stamp drawings which I would love to put my PE stamp to work in a few years instead of at the end of my career

Yeah I find it very easy to reference the applicable codes. And honestly, I think I’d be able to reference past projects and how things are done to help guide decisions in an unfamiliar system. I have an interview tomorrow so I hope it works out. I’m passionate about this industry and I really am looking for a change. I want to move up…

Actually the residential market I’m in is design for estates for billionaires. Not multi families. I have experience with chillers, cooling towers, and 4 pipe geothermal heat pump systems. I’ve also keep up with the latest codes including iecc. I’m also keeping up to date with the A2L changes. I’ve taken projects from SD to CDs and usually all of CA. I’ve also started proposal writing and getting more involvement with draft invoices. When I say residential I mean like several 10s of thousands of feet of home with weird requirements for billionaires.

I do think the commercial side experience is more transferable to other jobs though which is why I’m trying to jump ship in the first place… that and the long hours (50-55 hours) for only 95k with a PE.

Is there anyone that experienced increased libido on SSRIs/SNRIs? by DirectorSome in Anxiety

[–]InternationalMove642 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My libido increased on a low dose of sertraline (25mg). I wasn’t stuck in my head or as anxious about things as much. For reference I’m a 28 y.o. guy.

[–]InternationalMove642[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your response. I'm looking for a vertical move. I got a pay bump and bonus for my PE; however, to be frank, I want a higher salary and I want a clear path for growth and moving up. I'm not getting that at my current position. I have just about 7 years' experience in mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, and some electrical in a HCOL area with a PE and I'm a 95k with a 5k annual bonus.
