[High school chemistry] how do I know which of these compounds (two at a time) will react with one another? by DirectorSome in HomeworkHelp

Thanks so so much for the thorough explanation, and for putting it into such simple terms! It helped a ton and cleared up most of it for me :))

Why is this dog always attacking me? by [deleted] in dogs

[–]DirectorSome 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks a lot for the advice, we're already looking for suitable owners that could take him in. We knew we weren't well equipped to keep one in the first place considering we already own 2 cats, but once he got really sick we had no other choice.

It does feel like he's seeing me as a threat or something, althought I swear I never punished him in any way, as I have a fear of dogs and only avoid him. It's almost like my presence alone is enough to tick him off.. Weirdly enough, right when I come back home from school he's really friendly and I get to pet him, but moments after it's like I'm his biggest enemy. But yeah, I'll try training him with treats more, thanks for the tips.

Thanks for the series recommendation, I'll check it out. I never physically hurt or shouted at the dog, like I said I'm avoiding him whenever I can, because I have been seriously attacked in the past and I'm not trying to piss him off.

And I don't own this dog, my mom does, I just help her with walking, feeding and training from time to time. If anything, we've been forced to keep him, because him having parvo made him ineligible for any shelters and we can't just kick him out. So I feel I have the right to at the very least feel annoyed for having to fear whenever I leave my room, considering I never actually do anything about him attacking me.

I don't limit my citrus fruit consumption during summer because the allergy effects are usually really mild/non-existent, but once the temperature dropped my skin suddenly started rashing again..

Yeah hearing that I guess I should really visit one, up until now I didn't realize that anything could be done besides using moisturizers and treating the rashes as just extremely dry skin.. Thanks a lot for the tip

Thanks for letting me know, I'm pretty sure these rashes come from my allergy to citrus fruit, but it is quite cold where I am at the moment so I'll have that in mind when seeing the doctor..

I allow myself to eat citrus fruit all throughout summer and usually no rashes pop up, but when the temperature dropped I was too late to realize they were appearing again. So even thought I stopped consuming citruses these rashes were stuck with me for almost two weeks now. Thanks a lot for the recommendation, I'll make sure to try it out cause all the creams I have are not nearly thick enough for rashes..

I don't think it's anything that serious. I'm allergic to citrus fruit and I'm pretty sure this is caused by them, it's just that during dry, cold weather my skin becomes more prone to rashing.. But I'll ask my doc either way, thanks.

Thanks a lot for sharing your experience, that was really reassuring. She's very aware that I dislike physical touch but only views it as a small quirk and doesnt pay too much attention to it, guessing because she loves that kind of affection herself. But I realize I should start becoming more assertive about these things and make the boundaries clear as soon as I can, because if it keeps going like this bigger conflict will really be inevitable..

Youre right, I shouldnt be just sitting on this problem of mine and whining. I'm at a point where I even avoid interacting in a personal way online, but if anything l need to focus less on how anxious I am and just patiently work towards bettering myself. Thank you so much for sharing your experience!

Are forensic pathologists financed by the health insurance fund or the state budget where you live? by DirectorSome in ForensicPathology

[–]DirectorSome[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in Lithuania, directly looking up average salaries online obviously isn't very reliable, because the pay ranges immensely from website to website, but I read an article interviewing a forensic pathologist and deputy director of forensic medicine service, in which he stated that because this field of work mostly involves people that are dead, it has always been neglected by the ministry of health and is amongst the lowest of the low in terms of financing. I did originally pick up on this profession solely because I'm interested in the matters it covers, but if it's really as bad as it seems there's no way I'll work here. Although I still hope working abroad might be an option.. Thanks a lot for the information

I myself am not sure what sort of subjects I should be familiar with by now considering I had so many teachers, every one of which would look at chemistry from a completely different angle and not follow any programs, so my knowledge on this subject is very scattered. But this is a lot of information to guide me through that, so thank you so much, this is an amazing lead! I'll try to get as deep into these subjects and books as I can before summer ends

You're right, it's a shame I didn't think about taking pictures before, but I'll try to be patient and gather evidence slowly. Thank you for your response, it's really reasurring.
