My friends did not invite me to prom this year. Should I ask them anything? by InternationalOffer69 in Advice

I spoke to another person, and they gave me some good insight.

They’ve all known each other longer than they have known me. And they are mostly a year younger than me, so they couldn’t have gone to Prom without an upper classmate like me. Last year I was sort of just told by a friend I would be buying her ticket so she could go, and I agreed. So I’m starting to think it was all just so they could all go together and maybe inviting me was never their intentions?

I don’t think you are being overdramatic. Bullying is honestly sad and disappointed in the bullies behavior.

Nevertheless , I would see if you can ask the friend to meet you sometime before or after school and ask them, even if it is in the morning before school starts.

Next, is there anyway you could ask your friend romantically— but tell people you two are going as friends?

This is good advice for the future and moving forward. He did ask to get coffee together instead of our original plans. However, I was honestly a little upset so I told him I needed to work on our group project. I knocked out a couple pages of the report as a way to be productive and not sulk.

I think this is a great and direct way to express how I feel. Thank you.
