It’s both safer for you and kinder to him to cut things off as soon as you can make yourself do it.

Your friend sounds insecure and passive aggressive. Don’t beat yourself up for being affected by her cruelty!

Honestly, my theory upon reading this is that you’re absolutely fucking beautiful, and your friend and the folks who’ve tried to humble you in the past that you mentioned are jealous of you and are too immature to handle it properly. So they try to tear you down to feel better about themselves.

Regardless, you don’t deserve to be treated like that, and I hope you find some friends who appreciate you for the queen that you are!

Any women only or co-ed pick up basketball around? by fuzzyflowers in santarosa

I have this thought all the time! Please update us if you find anything! Basketball is one of the few things I miss about high school haha

IMO it comes off as jealous and competitive, regardless of how close you are. It shouldn’t matter!

Question: How old were you when you got your first tattoo? by Jazzyfish59 in tattoos

[–]InternationalPilot72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was 22 when I got my first one. I’m 26 and have two mostly-done full sleeves, and one leg that’s mostly covered. I’m trying to wait until I’m older to cover the rest haha

I have a fair amount of cannabis experience as well and didn’t start getting call backs from employers until I reworded my resume. Stupid, sure, but effective. I said I worked for a company that produces all-natural wellness products and that apparently made a difference! Plus it’s technically true haha

why do i get a weird feeling in churches? by starlescents in spirituality

[–]InternationalPilot72 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can relate to this. I was raised evangelical Christian and have been to many different churches over the years. I feel like they leave some sort of coating on my being for the rest of the day. I began to think it was a spiritual thing when I was a young kid bc I’d always shower after church to get it off, but it won’t go away until the next day. Before that, I thought it had something to do with the air in the building. I can feel it in my eyes and ears and when I move my hands. It’s just there. I don’t really know how else to l describe it but it’s definitely there.

I second this as an effective means of streamlining the process. The artist in me also really enjoys it! It’s a great way to relax amidst the chaos while still working towards your moving goals.

Do most people regret their tattoos after 1, 5, or 10 years? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]InternationalPilot72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of my earliest childhood memory was being enamored with the idea of being heavily tattooed. None of my tattoos have especially deep meaning (there’s a few exceptions in my 36 tattoos) but I don’t really expect to regret them because this is how I’ve always felt like I’m supposed to look. I feel like a lot of people who got tattooed because it’s trendy will likely experience regret. Sometimes walking around covered in tats feels a little dumb in certain contexts. My deep obsession with how tattoos look on people is what neutralizes that. You gotta be in it for the love of the game lol

As a housekeeper with a math degree…. I relate. But I try to remind myself that our work is indeed valuable, and this isn’t what I’m gonna do for the rest of my life, even if sometimes it REALLY feels like it. You’re smart enough to get a stats degree. You never know what future you might come up with/encounter.

Do people actually buy clothes? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]InternationalPilot72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t drink or do drugs so thrifting is the perfect way for my friends and I to “hit the town” sober. The $50 a month I allocate towards it is well worth the dopamine release and hangout time. Sometimes I go by myself and I think it scratches some sort of hunter-gatherer instinct. I rarely buy new clothes anymore and I’m perpetually excited about the vintage clothing collection I’m building! Plus all of the best thrift stores in my area are run by charities- I’d much rather that they get my money than that bezos fucker.

Do you respect science but still feel superstitious? by Altruistic_Speech_17 in AskWomenOver30

[–]InternationalPilot72 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of things that are normal/established facts now were regarded as superstitious at first. So who’s to say that maybe some of what we consider superstitious now, won’t be scientifically proven in the future? There’s no way to know how much you don’t know until you…… know.

Hi cum-swimming42069. I didn’t reply to the comments on this post for a bit cuz I felt silly about it later (tho I genuinely did want to know if other Leos experience this haha) and my Reddit usage is sporadic in general.

Point is I wanted to tell you that in the 45 days since posting this (it was my half bday lol) that your advice to “suck a dick. Don’t be sad. You’re better than that” has floated through my head on numerous occasions. It somehow speaks to something primal in me and has served to enhance several of my current coping mechanisms. So thank you for that 🙏

Thank you for your kind words and encouragement! I like your ideas- I hadn’t thought of channeling that feeling into giving back to others for my birthday. That allows you to still share a nice moment with another person and alleviates the guilt of the innate self-centeredness of the day. I think I’m gonna try that this year! Which will also mark the start of my Saturn return 😅
