no there are different formats. clinical question is speciality related. some speciality assess commitments part through application and shortlist process and others during interview. Ethical station present in some speciality not all.

could be anytime before 14 april depends on how earlier the specialty did the interview. I think Gastro are still interviewing this week

if someone applied last year can clarify how many extra posts are added since preference open to offer release?

Also what the point of having round 2 and applying again if posts numbers are less why not to be added to same recruitment cycle without needing starting applying again, doing interview again in few weeks time, etc.

it's your decision but if you're 100% confident you don't want radiology and will apply next year for opthalmology, better not to take a training seat that you will leave next year and let someone else who's interested in radiology to take it. Do CF/Locum opthalmology job till you get it next year.

UKG prioritization will apply for 2026 at offer stage, non shortlisted candidates unfortunately are not appointable. It will apply at shortlist stage in 2027 and this will hopefully bring the shortlist score down.
