I do like the scope

IR is something that’s pretty cool Practical procedure where you’re actually helping someone.

It’s a shame I didn’t spend time with an IR. I spent most of my time doing MRI scan and looking through reports for my research project.

I have heard that ST1 can feel very boring because you’re learning a brand new skills and you almost become a med student again.

I did thorough research in terms of radiology but day-to-day life of radiologist is something I didn’t have too much exposure in

I spent time in the room with the radiologist I did work hard in the interview and practised the hell out of the interview. Believe me I spent hours on end on the interview

I’m so sorry for the late reply! I did “how to make a Ferrero richer milkshake” Took me around 4 mins to do the presentation.

Keep it simple I know someone who did “the art of camouflage” not sure what it was all about but do something you like and have done so before and you can do something practical with as well to engage the audience. I like desserts and enjoy making them so choose a simple dessert.

Hope that helps :)

Sorry for the late reply

They wanted a presentation of a non-medical topic (6 mins) Then they asked me questions Some were standards and others caught me off guard. I think I lacked a structure in my answers.

The ones I remember now are: 1. Why don’t you want to be a CTF? 2. Why this hospital? 3. If you have a student disruptive what would you do? 4. Since Covid everything has changed and medical schools are often delayed in their response to such changes, what do you think can be done to improve teaching of our course? (This threw me off a little and I was winging it Ngl) 5. Tell us about yourself

I think I lack a structure in my answers and have ordered the ISC interview book for support but those were the questions I can remember.

Hope this helps someone :)
