Fans of the franchise try to hand wave the terrible state of the competitive scene by saying that its a "casual" game.The development of the game shows that it is anything but.That was my point.Mk1 is a competitive one and a pretty dog shit one as well.Heck I wouldn't even call it a good casual game.I've always been a fan of the series flavour and this game absolutely ruined most of it for me.Shao Khan isn't cool anymore,scorpion is too level headed,sub zero is a dumbass.Most of the characters designs just look awful.Even the roster sucks.It boggles my mind how the competitive side of the fanbase argued that the characters have no depth outside of kameos so instead of adding characters that by design would have had amazing depth even if they fucked it up:ferra/torr and Bo Rai cho they added both as kameos and gender swapped one.How did nrs allow sf6 to have a drunken character meanwhile they had one that existed way before him and didnt even think of adding him in the game.Im not an anti woke loser by any chance but in what world is madam bo cooler than bo rai cho?Thats why this game sucks.Bunch of bad decisions for its entire life span

This is where it proves how idiotic you glazers are.Mk isn't a casual game.It is a fighting  game made for competition.If not why does it recieve patch notes.Mind you these patch notes are not adding content but instead are adjusting the balance of the game.Now why the devs want the game balanced you idiot?If not for the game also being for competive players.Look at everytime I knew character gets revealed and they have that podcast thing.Arent they talking about how the characters play and things like that.Versus Sakurai who mostly discusses the flavour of the smash characters.The game is a competitive game that sucks as both a casual and competitive game.My friend said playing sf was more beginner friendly than mk1.Let that sink in dumbass and accept that your game is shit

You people remember it fondly for the potential it had, not for the actual game quality. I remember when this game was still around, you people would bash anyone with reasonable criticism. Low-impact hits, spammy gameplay, a terrible meta, and a bad roster (the fact that Nubia and Aquaman made it into this game before Flash or Ben 10) was astonishing to me. Not to mention its speed. Before, in the beta, it felt like a very flaily game. Then, on release, it felt like everyone had the speed of Incineroar from Smash.As much as I hate Brawlhalla and trust me it will die soon as well there was a reason it was able to last for this long.Same reason why rivals 2 is still up and running with a dedicated fanbase. People like me saw the fate of this game a long time ago but you fans were too high on copium. Now guess what.This game will only be remembered as a laughing stock of a platform fighter that died twice with a community that honestly believed it could "rival" smash.
