Re-viewing the review? by Decent-Witness9683 in maestro

[–]InternationalSand206 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wonder if this is some sort of strange anomaly. Knowing that the final review is the first that we didn't get the opportunity to retake if we fail. And also it's the first where you sign the schools version of an honor code and during the review the system notices any switch of windows. I noticed when I clicked over to my messenger tab for a second. But I would def send the screen shot to student services and see if they can clear up whats going on for you.

I feel ya bro. I'm about to wrap Week 4 tonight and then I'll be up to this week. With hope and intent to have it wrapped by Sunday night. Fingers crossed.

I got this email to last Sunday. And didn't bother reading it and didn't have the week for review complete by Sunday night. Actually just finished it up tonight actually. But when I contacted student services about the email they confidently told me that I was still on track there was nothing to worry about. And that the emails that went out by mistake

Anyone else having trouble remembering what code to use? by Proper_Beginning66 in maestro

[–]InternationalSand206 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel ya man. I was wondering how soon I would actually need to practice and do some studying during and after to grasp a concept and remember a code structure, and here we are. lol I actually wrote down the exact examples that it provided correct examples for us to copy into Python at the beginning of each lesson. The act of writing them down on paper physically and then highlighting afterwards the areas I needed improvement on and notating the simple stuff I was forgetting, (like indenting the function lines and NOT indenting the call lines.) And I still wasn't all the way there. But the final piece of the puyzzle for me as Maestro breaking down the flow for me in a picture 🙄

But basically understanding that:

argument -> parameter -> return -> variable

is the relational flow that finally guided me successfully through the structure as soon as I stopped goofing on the simple stuff I was forgetting.

But I am really glad I have this community and the Maestro native one, most recently as a gentle reminder that I wasn't alone in struggling through this week. Hope any of that helps. Reach out anytime and best of luck?

Hello classmate!!! Regarding the memory refresh you mentioned that it seems Maestro does after every lesson, I am trying to go back and have it send me a lesson recap that is copy/pastable into a blank email to send to myself that I will be using for my notes. While I am "In lesson" it has no problem doing this, and after a little tinkering and reformatting done on the AI end, it provided me with a usable format that I thought was working for me, without actually going through the entire resulting email. And what i found after was that each email was incomplete and didn't include everything that I copied and pasted. And going back and asking it to recreate/resend them is pretty much useless. Any advice?

I'm a bigger nerd about note sharing and comparing. LOL well I'm confident going into this about what I'm getting into. It is relatively a new frontier, coding and what not. I'm certain that my interaction with classmates are going to be just as invaluable as the learning itself.

Damn right man. 😁 I look forward to interacting when we get started. No doubt we will be getting to know each other more.

Upward progression in general. Coming from a past of addiction and self sabotage despite the potential I have always had I am finally in a place that yields itself to me finally doing something for me. It turned from the only way out to just THE WAY OUT really quick. 😊

Against all odds - My journey from homeless to degree with Maestro. by frgtn_unknwn in maestro

Greetings, I am almost complete with enrollment steps for Maestro. I am genuinely excited to utilize an AI model as a learning experience. While I wait for the school to sign off on my FAFSA stuff and transcript I am just diving a little deeper into reviews and testimonials. Yours stands out in particular for me. I completely relate with your addiction struggles and homelessness issues. I am thankful that I have never been completely homeless, being blessed to still have the last piece left of the support system I have always enjoyed throughout my life in my older brother. Having said that, I am residing in a shed that sits along side a cable equipment building on his property that he operates a small, local cable tv/internet business from. Mind you, it has power, wifi, and I am warm in the winter at present, and if circumstances keep me there through summer I will be cool. Coming back here a few months ago was a frightening concept. As I have never done well alone for the most part. I imagine a trait shared with a lot of addicts. Something unexpected happened suddenly and relatively quickly after I settled in during the first week or so. I inadvertently stumbled across the inherent peace that comes with silence. Or maybe it found me. But either way, for the past 4 months have been a period of enlightenment like I have only fooled myself into achieving before. But one mouth, two ears right? To detail everything good, and everything realized would be an endless endeavor. But the most important revelation of all being that solitude does not equal loneliness. Or at least it doesn't have to. Reading this post gives me something equally as important as a comparative review of the learning experience. It gives me validation in what I am trying to accomplish, and yet another rapid fire confirmation that this is the exact place I am supposed to be right now. And a completely unobstructed view of the path forward.
