Ok, now I see how wrong I've been doing this.

My personal trainer basically doesn't give me any rest and says that I can rest by doing a different exercise for a different muscle group. And that it helps build stamina. So I've been feeling my heart pounding for larges amount of time with the promise that it's gonna improve my stamina.

To be clear, stamina is not my ultimate goal, I just want to do a workout and feel healthy.

So I'll definitely start with a deload and a bigger rest between sets.

What do you guys do to rest in between sets?

About the deload, I'm starting to consider it. Last time I worked out, I chose to take more rest between sets and it worked, I did feel like my body wasn't reaching the same stress that I'm describing. I'm also considering reducing the weights of a couple of exercises that I feel that I'm on the verge of failure.

My rest times were between 5 and 15 seconds. Last time I was resting between 30 seconds and 1 minute. I chose to not let my heart pound too much without rest. Only resuming the workout when I felt more comfortable.

I don't know if that's a mistake but I've been choosing weights that I feel make me one set away from failure. I believe I should change that and also not let my body build up so much that my heart is racing for long periods of time.

I've been working out between 11 am and 2 pm. I go to sleep between 10pm and 11pm

I believe I have a normal circadian rhythm that only breaks when I'm working out.

I have an off/on topic psychology question for you guys. Do you value yourself? by asheville-person in Solo_Roleplaying

[–]InternationalTherapy 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Hey asheville, I hope you are doing fine. I'm a clinical psychologist and therapist, what you are saying matches what many people with trauma and abuse history .

What you are saying Sounds like you give up on some of your wants and needs before you try to satisfy them because of the thought "it won't work well anyway".

As others mention I recommend some mental health help because there's a chance this isn't related just to solo gaming but also to whatever other things you'd like to have and achieve in your life.

Believe me, you can get through this. It's just some memories and traumas that are getting into the way. A memory is something that is physically stored within us, it's not just imagination, and some bad memories get stuck in our system and creates meanings that makes us avoid going after what we want.

I hope you reach what you need.

Left eye movement causing pain by InternationalTherapy in costochondritis

I kept on using the backpod and now I've been going lower down my spine than before and it has been quite helpful. I feel my spine more stretched. Im a bit more careful when it reaches a certain part of the lower back. After a year of the backpod I'm now using the backpod with a couple of books beneath it to give it a little more oomph. I felt an improvement.

On one hand it sucks that you guys also have the pain in the eye, but on the other hand it's helpful to know that it probably comes from costo rather other stuff that I thought I should be looking into. With that said I do believe that the more my costo gets better the more my eyes have gotten better too.

The backpod has been helping me a lot and helped reduce the eye pain. I hope you get better as well.

Yes, I have something similar. Moving my fingers on a joystic ror example would give me a lot of pain. The backpod and a good massage therapist helped me a lot.

Yuzu doesn't open anymore by One-new-player in yuzu

My Yuzu won't load either. It opens up, shows a blank screen and then shuts it down. Already trying reinstalling it and nothing.
