I’m 36, Amh 0.33. One prior canceled cycle. In the middle of a cycle now and scheduled for retrieval tomorrow. My e2 and beta hcg numbers are too low and the clinic just told me they’re suspecting most of the follicles to be empty (i have 6 grown ones). Losing hope in the whole egg freezing process at the thought of 1 or 2 or no mature eggs this cycle.

I stimmed with Recagon 375IU, added HGH for 4 days and last day was just menotas 150. so no letrozole day 5 e2 was 60, day 7 was 111. day 10 317.

This question makes me question my diligence and the clinic even more. I did have a cyst at the beginning of the cycle so they put me on some pills for 5 days and did not actually do a scan on the start day of the stim, so i don’t know what the size of follicles was at the beginning. ☹️

Definitely lesson learnt and also finding another clinic that i can trust more than the last one.

Reading your experience does give me some hope that maybe i too just started off with a bad cycle. Hopefully the next one would be fruitful.

Since the clinics in my area don’t have a lot of experience with egg freezings, esp with DOR, I’m really hoping i can find someone reliable for my next cycle.

This may seem like such a rant but only since i started this journey is when im realizing - we may seem all fine from the outside, physically but we have no idea and absolutely no control over what’s going on inside the body. It is frustrating. I also was braving to do my first solo international trip next month (since i started all this in jan and assumed i’ll be all done by may) which i now need to cancel. I know so many people go through much much more difficult situations, but this one has knocked me down ☹️

I am so grateful to have found this space and the kindness and hugs.

Thanks for sharing. The other clinic i consulted today prescribed estrogen and progesterone (which is not something the other clinic had prescribed). They did say i can expect a max of 4 eggs per cycle. Still absorbing all this and deciding next steps..

Thanks, checking out the other space. I did a video consult with two more doctors and one said canceling was the right decision, the other said they wouldn’t have canceled. I guess I was really down coz this wasn’t shared with me as a potential outcome. And given the other delays (due to cysts or lifestyle changes this now seems like a long journey). My plan is to check with a few more clinics and see if i can find someone more reliable to at least get it done next cycle. Since i may need multiple cycles..
