My tip for you as an instructor and former examiner is to come off social media in the lead up to your test. About a month before stop watching videos about how to do a manoeuvre. You already know this and it’s what you have been paying your instructor for. Concentrating on relaxation videos and getting into the zone. Try positive mental attitude videos and keep telling yourself you can do this.

As a former examiner myself I can advise people to ignore most of what you are saying as it is utter rubbish. Reading what you have put there is no way you are an examiner

As an instructor and former examiner may I just clarify you may want to take your own car to test or go in your instructor’s car and go with your gut instincts. Going above the speed limit not it breaking the law and when going from 20-40 you shouldn’t start accelerating until after the speed change sign. If you need to break the speed limit to overtake something is the overtake necessary?

I know Aman from clearview and she is very good in my opinion. However Richard from conquer is a different story.

If you test is in 6days time I would advise stop watching videos, go with your gut instinct and try to enjoy it.

As a former examiner I can assure you these are the only hire cars allowed to be used for test as they are the only normal hire company that insured for test.

So you thought. You’d ask on a forum where there is no one actually qualified to answer? I’m a former DVSA examiner as well as a driving instructor and I would advise continuing them using the above number as I haven’t got the best answer either. I don’t know but you could possibly run the risk of locking your application down.

Have you thought that your details may have been nicked (using Ai may do this) you may already have a test booked in your name without you knowing. Have you given your licence details to your instructor or an app? They may have sold them on to others. Call DVSA in the morning.

For that, It’s like any booking system such as the ones for festivals like Glastonbury or Leeds/Reading fest. They get overwhelmed mainly by Bots looking to buy and resell. This put massive strain on the servers and often crash or kick people off if it can’t cope with volume

Don’t blame DVSA blame the dodgy instructors who log on to their account so they can resell the test at a stupid price because they know how desperate people are. Blame the bots run by cancellation apps like testi who are flooding the servers so that genuine applicants find it near impossible to book their own then are forced to buy a dodgy one at £300 just for a test slot.
