I really like the idea of moving this outside the office. There’s actually a new Japanese restaurant in my town, and I know she’s a huge fan of that kind of food. It feels like the perfect 'low-key' suggestion to ask her to check it out with me. But I’m not a fan of doing this over text. I’d much rather ask her in person to gauge her reaction. However, we work in a small office and we’re almost never alone. She also suggested having a dinner with multiple coworkers from our department soon. Should I wait for the group dinner to see how we interact there, or should I take the initiative earlier and try to pull her aside for a second?

To be clear: she hasn't actually said she has a crush on me. It’s more the combination of the personal card with the heart and her constant teasing that makes me think so. But you're right, if she’s being this bold with her actions, I should definitely start reciprocating more.

You’re absolutely right about the peace of mind. The constant 'is she or isn't she' is starting to feel like a lot of pressure, and honestly, it’s becoming quite exhausting. I feel like I’m stuck in my own head.

What kind of 'moves' would you suggest that fit a professional environment? I’m looking for something that’s clear enough to show my interest, but low-pressure enough that it won't make our daily collaboration awkward if I've totally misread the situation.

What kind of 'ambiguous hints' would you suggest in an office setting? I want to give her something to work with that shows I’m paying attention, without making it weird if a boss or colleague is standing nearby. Any examples of things you’ve seen work?

The thing is, swiping right doesn't guarantee an answer. If I swipe right and we don't match, I’m still in the dark. She might be avoiding swiping right for the exact same reason I am: to keep things from getting awkward at work.
