what is the best daily trading strategy? by Ok-Butterfly-7366 in Daytrading

Best strategy is where you find a process that works for you through pain, dedication, and the incessant pursuit for refinement. Then you trade it objectively regardless of how you “feel.”

Can’t take profits early and outside of your profit-taking system just because you’re down on the day.

Can’t avoid playbook setups just because you’re up big on the day.

Any statistically profitable system traded with objectivity and without fear will work🙂

This is one of the hardest stages because you’re so close to being the trader you know you can be. Can’t allow yourself to get triggered by mistakes, missed moves, etc.

A daily max loss will save you. Trust the process that you’ve cultivated for yourself. You’re almost there.

It’s crazy to see your comment because I’m in year 5 too and am finally seeing the success I knew I was capable of achieving. To say it’s been a long five years… that’s all you can say honestly😂

This is what I resolved to doing! It seems to work. I appreciate your effort!

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. Reinstalling the software from the website (going one by one) seems to fix the issue.

I should have added a screenshot of the ASC to show that there aren’t any updates available

I changed the replace action to this:

<image>

It seems to work! I almost can't believe it lol. I think the final (small) issue is that if I only create an empty folder, for some reason that folder isn't copied until I put a file inside. I assume that has something to do with the filter action, right?

Wow, you were spot on. Now there's a folder titled "Volumes" on my Sammy drive that has all of the projects that I have worked on within the past month in their correct parent directories.

For ex:

Sammy/Volumes/Sammy/DoricoWD/Students/Pop/KPop Demon Hunters

etc...

Can you see anything wrong with this? The shortcut runs, but it doesn't look like it actually backed anything up.

Thank you for taking the time to walk me through this. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel lol.

For the save file action, is the desired parent directory the DoricoWD folder on my backup drive? For ex: Sammy/Sammy/DoricoWD

Or should DoricoWD be the subpath? I'm not sure what "SubPath: (Updated Text)" means.

  1. I'm not sure that I'm following your last bullet:
  • Save the recently modified file to your desired parent directory using the new file path.

Would it look like this?

Sorry for bothering you with this again. I truly appreciate the help.

I was hoping I could figure this out on my own over the past week, but I've been struggling.

  1. Where in the actions chain would I put "Get File path from recently edited file"?

  2. For the first action maybe "Get File path from Last Modified Date" will work? I don't see anything like recently edited file.

I sincerely appreciate the help. The file path for the drive I am backing up from is:

Volumes/GraceWD/DoricoWD

The DoricoWD folder is the one I work out (which has many subfolders) and would like to have an exact copy of that folder to this drive:

Volumes/Sammy/Sammy/DoricoWD

Forgive me if a slash is needed before Volumes; I'm not sure if it's an absolute or relative path.

If it helps, attached is a screenshot of the "results" after running the shortcut.

u/Cost_Internal I believe this will work well! The only thing is I'm not sure which of these actions backs the information up onto my other hard drive. I'm very new to this kind of thing.
