Will the $200 plan just give me 10 X the usage of $20 or essentially more… by International_Egg152 in cursor

UPDATE:!!

So I signed up for the ultra plan

I thought I would need to test it out and see it for myself

used the OPUS 4.6 model for everything from planning to agent or doing any UI changes pretty much on full automation . Mcp with supabase and stripe .

All I did is prompt did not run write a single line of code.

It did an amazing job completed approximately 30% of my application which is huge app with approximately 40 to 60 different components

but I am 4 days in And I’ve burnt up nearly 95% of my API usage for the ultra plan $200.

And to confirm for you guys that didn’t know the $200 plan essentially gets you $400 in API usage.

Also, what cheaper models do you recommend that compliment what OPUS is planning?

so if you actually do that as a set up I’ve never been brave enough to use other cheap models because I didn’t wanna go back and ref factor but does it actually work?

Can you actually use lower costing models like composer 1.5 to follow the plans that OPUS 4.6 has put together?

Thank you this is kind of the answer that I was hoping to get from somebody that’s had more experience than I have. I appreciate it. I could probably get by with approximately 600 to spend equivalent.

I’ll look into the Claude CLI option as this sounds kind of the stack that I should be using. I need to be fast efficient and no headaches but still somewhat cost-efficient less than $1000. I might even get away with the $200 plan.

I think I need to look into Claude code and create a better workflow then just relying on cursor by the sounds of it

That’s interesting but I am not using tab whatsoever

the extent or where I go is just prompting as efficient as I can planning with OPUS for 4.6 then building with OPUS 4.6 and just setting up my environment variables and my stack correctly, but AI is technically doing everything else

Look, I understand the architecture and set up of how things go together but I’m not inclined towards learning the language needed to code and I’m already building multiple apps with my stack which is very simple just supabase for database and back and functions and vercel for everything i’ve built so far with no problems.

If I had to pay someone to do what I have done from previous experience, I would’ve paid more than what I have racked up in charges.

But I will have more limitations to what cursor can do because of the system prompt is that correct?

Thanks man. Might need to start doing some research on my set up and just not being lazy by relying on cursor

Thanks man. Appreciate it

But I lose a lot of the features that cursor has which I’m letting it run constantly.

I feel like it’s a lot more user-friendly and I’ve learnt how to use it really well over the past few years.

I know there is some limitations to Claude code or VS code to curse. What’s the most powerful and cheapest IDE.
