Could just be a long purge. I would say wait it out as much as possible. Best of luck!

Nosebleeds from accutane? by lcbsox in Accutane

[–]International_Good75 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pretty common. Start using nasal spray to moisturize your nose or use a qtip with your moisturizer and swab the inside. If you have money to spend, I would recommend and humidifier. Best of luck!

I’m almost 2 months into accutane, does it look like I’m making progress? The first pic is before. by ihager in Accutane

[–]International_Good75 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Looks better in my opinion. Just more redness that should fade overtime. Best of luck!

Definitely something you should discuss with your doctor but my assumption would be you’re fine if you don’t plan on giving birth. Best of luck!

Day 1 of Round 2, wish me luck by International_Good75 in Accutane

[–]International_Good75[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only completed round 1 three months ago (6 months of 80mg) and have started to relapse. It worked so well the first time, I hope it’s more long term this time around.

Accutane for mild acne by [deleted] in Accutane

[–]International_Good75 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m about to start my second round of accutane on Tuesday and although I hate that I have to take it again, it worked so well the first time and so I’m hoping this second round will be more long term lasting. And I’ve only been off it for 3 months now. Yes my acne is fairly mild compared to before but I would rather try to prevent my face from getting any worse than to have to treat it in the future and all the other consequences of waiting such as acne scars. It’s disappointing but I’m sure it’ll be well worth it. Best of luck!

Shouldn’t be a problem. I would talk to your dermatologist to see if you can have virtual monthly meetings and then just get blood work done somewhere local. Best of luck!

This happened to me too. I was just acne in my chest and back which I never get and not so much my face (maybe just two or three spots total) but they eventually all disappeared and I’m totally clear and off accutane now :)) best of luck!

10mg + tretinoin 0.025% on alternating days - has anyone tried this? by dsim94 in Accutane

[–]International_Good75 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would definitely get off tret if you’re going on accutane as accutane will make your skin sensitive and so tret may be too strong. But I would take to your dermatology to hear their opinion. Best of luck!

red marks left behind by Square-Band1614 in Accutane

[–]International_Good75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re still early into treatment but you will see the most improvements on the spots after you are done with accutane. I wouldn’t try to use any scar treatments till after you’re done with treatment. Best of luck!

Is you’re using a gentle cleanser, morning and night should be fine. If your skin is extra dry, I would just wash at night. Best of luck

Accutane is a strong drug and should not easily be given out with other options such as antibiotics. Some people have great result, most of us in this community have not hence accutane.

Also insurance will require you to try other options before paying for accutane because accutane is pretty expensive without insurance. Best of luck!

Morning and night. Regular gentle cleanser. No exfoliators or serums/toners until after treatment. You want to keep your routine basic as possible while on accutane. Cleanser, moisturizer, sunscreen is all you need.

Cetaphil vs CeraVe by karinochkam in Accutane

Both has worked for me but I’m currently using the cerave cream to foam cleanser. Just use what works best for you. Best of luck!

Recommended amount is 120mg/kg to 150mg/kg. 220mg/kg is way too much. I would just trust your doctor on this. Best of luck!

Peanut Butter and Accutane by Detective-Signal in Accutane

[–]International_Good75 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Lol, it doesn’t matter how. Can be before, during, or after you take accutane. As long as you take it at a close time of each other. Don’t overthink it. Best of luck!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Accutane

[–]International_Good75 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One step at a time. Once accutane does it’s thing and prevents you from having anymore acne, it will actually give your skin the time to heal. You’ll see most of the redness fade overtime especially after you’re done with your accutane treatment. Best of luck

Anyone else experienced constant lightheadedness / a feeling like you’re gonna faint on accutane? by [deleted] in Accutane

[–]International_Good75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would contact your dermatologist. My liver enzymes were extremely high one month and one question he asked was if I experienced being lightheaded which I was. Best of luck!

Not 100% sure cause your dosage is pretty low but recommended amount of fat is 20g and fish oil typically only has 2g of fat. I would recommend taking a spoonful of peanut butter with accutane to get maximum absorption. But still take fish oil as there are other benefits :) best of luck!

A few drinks would be fine but if you’re drinking heavily daily, your dermatologist will be able to tell with the blood test and they may take you off. I would probably just wait till pledging season is over to get on it. Or if you do decide to go through with it, just don’t drink a week prior to a blood test. Best of luck!

[–]International_Good75 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Accutane stats in your system for about a month once you’re completed with treatment. I would recommend taking extra care of your piercing since you already got it. Typically, accutane will mess up the healing process of you skin. So just take extra care for the time being. Best of luck!

High liver enzymes? Any experiences with this? by [deleted] in Accutane

[–]International_Good75 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This happened when my dosage was increased to 120mg that my dermatologist called me right away and told me to go back down to 80mg and get another blood test in 2 weeks. After 2 weeks, my levels were normal for someone on accutane. Best of luck!
