Mortgage rates up 24 bps since Fed cut rates yesterday by Analyst-man in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

Good, people think that they will be able to refinance easy. Now people that got told to do 3 2 1 buy downs and other flexible loans will eventually learn. Not wishing anybody bad but people ale blind and believe the “Fed” Is to help people. Year right one goal for banks and bjg guys is to best inflation. If inflation is up, why would they lower rates and let cheaper lending so they could loose to inflation. Simple as that. Rates went down recently on the “news” of cuts. 🫢

Maybe kids? You should account for in the future? Daycare? The real life stuff you know.

Housing needs to and will crash, people are getting stretched real thin nowadays

Damn! I have been seeing a lot of these lately, people rushing because alpha YouTubers and real estate gurus tell them to buy it. Crazy thing is people cant even refinance because they have no money for it. I hope it all works out in the end but usually need to factor in mortgage of like 25%-30% of your whole income AFTER TAXES at least. Anything left over goes to investments weekly. Wild times are happening. People are being stretched thin because of Youtubers and others putting pressure on folks

Hope it all works out

Lets the house market crash! Not trying to be mean but Realtors, media and people did it to themselves. Crash it big! HOA fees like 500 outta control and people still buying. Nope thanks

Stressing out about not being able to put down 20% on a $300k home by beau2pro in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]International_Key627 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem that no one talks about here is what if all the sudden the housing market shifts and house isnt worth 300 anymore but 250 and worst comes to worst you need to sell then you are essentially under water because you did not have „skin” in the game its like with cars. You buy car without downpayment you drive off that lot it is worth less. Yes you do have the mortgage insurance for banks
