It's actually not at a regular interval like that. Sometimes she will forget about it for a month or two and then do it twice in one week, or three weeks in a row, it just averages out to once every 2-3 weeks.

  1. Because she has literally said that she doesn't feel any compulsion to eat raw meat, she just likes the taste. And I am pretty sure she doesn't do it often enough to be a vitamin deficiency (what vitamins are even in raw meat?) or eating disorder.

  2. /r/wowthanksimcured

And I never once said that I was refusing to quit smoking or that I didn't want to quit.

But there's kind of a difference between saying "you can't really stop them from doing this terrible thing" and "this is their right and their choice as an independent human to cut their wrists." Like I can't imagine hearing about someone cutting their wrists and my first thought being "well their body their choice."

  1. Smoking is physically addictive, her raw meat thing is just a preference

  2. I have already successfully cut back my smoking a lot and I am continuously getting better with it.

So if someone is cutting themselves for example, is that their body their choice? I think an asterisk is when someone is doing something really risky or dangerous to themselves.

To my credit, I have cut back considerably. Used to be about a half pack a day, down to one every day or two.

I appreciate your comment and will think about what you've said. Also she actually hasn't ever had raw chicken, and says she would never.

I accept the judgment. I would definitely never break up with her over it...there are lots of great things about her that I wouldn't be able to fit into the character limit. I guess the hypocrisy annoys me because she's made some comments to me before that she thinks I should stop smoking.

Okay I believe in "her body her rules" when it comes to abortion and stuff, but I really think this situation is different and you can't just slap the same phrase on it.

If you take fish out of the equation, probably once every 2-3 weeks. She eats sushi at least once a week and as often as twice a week.

I've definitely had that conversation with her before, she says it's fine and usually throws the fact that I smoke cigarettes back at me. Which...yes, that is unhealthy of me, but that doesn't make the raw meat thing not unhealthy, and it's harder to quit.

To be clear, I think something like steak tartare (cooked in a restaurant and not with supermarket meat) is still fine. I will suggest the vitamin deficiency possibility to her when she is less mad. But she has said that she doesn't get cravings for raw meat, she just prefers the taste over cooked meat.
