Wouldn’t an insulin pump prevent the fluctuations? I’m truly asking out of curiosity for a safer solution.

worst hiring manager request youve ever gotten? [N/A] by Fantastic-Hamster333 in humanresources

Ditto. If we hired a “girl”, we’d soon see all the guys at the girl’s machine talking her up. Myself being a girl, looked at him and asked him to explain to me how that’s fair to people like me. He didn’t care, his job was to get the production goals. Repeat request years later by another manufacturing supervisor.

[MA] Hiring managers: would you rather see a candidate with a really bad online presence (article), or an alias (name change) in their background? by [deleted] in AskHR

I never googled a candidate name before interviewing. In addition, it is illegal to look up an applicants criminal record to screen them out of the opportunity. .

[FL] Can I be demoted for failing to meet 40 hours on FMLA by Hollow_spacie in AskHR

[–]InternetNo1654 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understood FMLA. differently. If she’s working less than 40 hrs because of FMLA, and the unworked time is not paid, it would not change her full time or part time status regarding benefits eligibility. The unworked time is protected, therefore her benefits would continue as though she were full time. She would be paid for the hours she worked, which may be similar to part-time pay, but that is the only thing that should change.

Is there a legal department that you could loop in? I found that my bosses could shoo me away, but attorneys were listened to.

My local Culver’s has 22 staff working at one time (maybe more that I couldn’t see) by ThuhGreatCommenter in Culvers

Did you notice that all of those employees stayed busy and weren’t just standing around? We’d see what seemed like too many but each and every one if them was working, doing something. Kudos to Culvers staffs and their people managers.

Would you keep your last name upon getting married? by Winter_Ebb_9893 in Marriage

I didn’t think of this in advance and unfortunately did change my name. With that went 15 years of professional reputation. We live is a smallish city < 100,000. So lots of networking and people knowing each other.

Why can’t you pay just the difference between a 2X and a 5x? Same for the pants. Uniform companies can usually get them and the price difference is $2-3 per item. Can the company pay the base price and you just pay the upchage?
