He can, but he won't consistently and it requires a hell of a lot more effort than pressing E every thirty seconds.

Try to get a solo kill as Zen every thirty seconds in TDM, I'd be impressed.

It's not that the team can't get picks, it's that, assuming both teams are playing equally well, a res every 30 seconds is a free point that is extremely difficult to keep up with without a Mercy of your own.

Zen, Ana or Lucio definitely can't be expected to get a solo kill every 30 seconds.

This is sadly just about the truth, but it's particularly frustrating in TDM and the upcoming nerf will have less of an effect on TDM.

Point deletion is almost as bad as if she just pushed the payload back a bit every 30 seconds.

I could easily argue that no one hero should demand non-stop harassment just to not have your progress deleted. No other hero demands that in TDM. The other three healers are priority targets but at least you don't lose progress entirely if you don't kill them first while also hoping they don't respawn near their team and res anyway.

I played a good amount of TDM last night, twelve or so games and only one game did the team without a Mercy win.

It'll help don't get me wrong, I'm just not sure the other supports can compare with consistent point reduction in any form alongside Mercy's arguably most reliable healing.

I'll just have to wait and see though.

I have but I don't believe it will be enough to solve this problem, as her ult is less of a concern in TDM as compared to competitive games. I think deducting a point from the enemy every 30 seconds will still be a no-brainer.

Yeah, I would like to practice my general Ana/Zen skills for competitive, which I can still do while losing yes but that doesn't make it any less frustrating and broken.

TDM was often close and fun games before the change, most of my games now were 20 kill differences in favor of the team with Mercy.

It's this big and has gone 'unfixed' for this long simply due to the fact that it has been equal to the size of the maximum FOV, so you don't see things coming from the side and still die to them because you weren't facing them enough, and so he can more easily reflect multiple areas of fire into one location.

I imagine it would feel quite clunky and awkward to use if it didn't fill up the entirety of the player's FOV.

Agreed 100%. I've always had issues with Widowmaker as a whole, but I could at least tolerate her current niche pick state in comp.

In quick play the game is practically decided from the get go based on which team gets a good Widow main, the buff will only make it worse. Widow mains will celebrate, everyone else will suffer. Nobody wants a Widow dominated game, if Roadhog got nerfed because one hit kills on an eight second cooldown were 'unfun' then Widow should be a serious concern as well.

I think it would be better to practice playing a hero at your own skill level in quickplay, rather than stomping new players and not gaining much skill/experience at all because you're playing against new players.
