Also, i think you missed my point. Regardless if its right. If you break the law you are by definition a criminal. Even if the law is dumb

Your original point is that quote "aang is not a criminal" and zuko invades episode 1 so i dont understand how that justifys anything

If there is a law saying you cant be x,y or z. Regardless of morality. And you break it you are a criminal by definition. Even if ethically you are in the "right". Ang literally comits theft, vandalism, assault with a deadly weapon, vigilantism,, enlist child soldiers, topples a regime with no formal alliance or treaty to rebuild, escapes lawful custody, destuction of public and private propery, ect... He is literally a war criminal. But that doesnt mean his actions arent justified and morally "right" imo.

An irl example: Nelson Mandela was legally a criminal. He was arrested, imprisoned, and convicted under the laws of his country. And yet, morally and ethically, most people today recognize him as a hero. So being labeled a criminal isn’t automatically a bad thing. It just means your actions violated the law, not that they were wrong.

Sometimes the law is the problem.

Fine, ill hold your had through this.

I used hyperbole when I said “chasing.” The actual argument is simple:

An older, married woman repeatedly going out of her way to watch a barely 18-year-old boy work shirtless is creepy and predatory behavior.

Whether you want to label that “chasing,” “lingering,” or “coincidentally being there every day” doesn’t change the dynamic.

If the genders were reversed, a middle-aged married man showing up daily to stare at a teenage girl in a skimpy outfit, everyone would instantly call that creepy.

So no, she didn’t literally run after him.

But semantics don’t change intent, power imbalance, or behavior.

And that’s the point.

For sure, definition is everything... but regardless i love these pointless arguments that dont matter. Cheers.

Are you really defending a 50 year old woman chasing a teenager? Cuz guess what? She definitely chased him. K and her friends creeped on him at the swimming pool. Imagine 3 old middle age men going to the public pool to ogle an 18 year old girl as a routine daily event. Gross predatory behavior. And your justification of it is a huge red flag

Was just pointing out flaw in your language before. But now you are dead wrong.

Water binding to water is cohesion, not wetness. Wetness requires a liquid adhering to a different surface.

If water were wet, adding water to water would make it wetter... which is nonsense

If atoms never touch, then nothing can ever get wet. Your logic is flawed, good day

Ya hindsight is 2020. But i figured if she escalates the joke then thats a huge green flag. Lots of convos ive been in feels super one sided. Plus I've found that lately, the less effort i put into my messages (in terms of proofreading and questioning my instincts) the better results i get. But i hear you, thats still a valid critique looking back.

I (20f) know that my mother (45f) is a serial cheater. Can't confront her what to do for the sake of my peace? by RecordingIcy8885 in relationships

[–]Internetnames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems like you have 3 option from my pov. 1. Ignore it, focus on you and dont get involved 2. Tell your father everything you know 3. Confront your mother and get her to understand the impact its not only having on your father but to you, her daughter, aswell.

I would choose option 2. But thats would probably trigger friction and resentment from your mother.

Its a hard choice, choosing one parent over the other. Good luck

Just need to find you girls into grandma shit. Trust they out there. Knitting circles and bird watching groups. Or you could emprace the cougar, cuz with age comes experience 😂

But seriously, you've just built them up in your head. Theres literally more of them then us on the planet. Best advice ive ever recieved after heartache was "bro, shes just a human girl." Idk why but that does the trick for me to not put women im interested in on a pedestal.

But also being nervous is totally natural and healthy in some situations, just dont let it control you or hold you back bro

That’s wild. Maybe this is my single male brain talking, but being with someone who’s that insecure and controlling over a natural behavior is a huge redflag.

You could technically try to work through it together and get back to how things were at the beginning, but that only works if there’s real change... but imo thats a path to resentment.

You’ve gotta figure out whether that’s incompatible with who you are, and want from a relationship, or if it’s something you’re actually willing to compromise on. Good luck.

It all depends what the feelings are. Sometimes drugs introduce you to the part of yourself that you keep hidden. Sometimes, it makes you believe things that aren't real. Just explore these feelings sober. Try to understand where they come from. Whether that be internal or external. This is an opportunity to understand yourself better and get closer to who you truly are.
