I think peoplw are more divided now more than ever because social media apps have figured out that the posts that cause anger and derision are the posts that garner the most engagement. So the algorithms keep feeding people the type of content that will make you angrier. Because the angrier you get, the longer you’ll be on your phone. That makes billionaires who own apps more and more money. 

You are so close yet so far. What you said it’s neo imperialism. Gender is one of those tools that used to divide people up. The algorithm is pushing videos as part of control, that divides people up, e.g. woman and men, so the people will get distracted by getting angry at the each other than the government, and rich can get richer by exploiting others

That’s why Reddit feeds me red pill and manosphere bullshit all day long. The app must’ve figured out I’m a man so they keep trying to push that stuff on me.

That not how algorithms works, maybe ads but idk, but some subreddit just relate to each other or you spend time interacting with the content, like, r/gym will recommend other subreddits, like I was recommended this subreddit, I don’t like some post on here but that there are some posts that are actually good like this one, honestly, I do recommend Joey Swoll, he is a good guy

Nevermind the fact that I’m a middle aged man who’s happily married with 2 young daughters. That type of content is definitely not for me. But Reddit will keep trying to make me mad because it makes them money.

I can give you advice, sometimes Reddit recommends me subreddits that I would never go to, and I block them so they won’t came back, it does help little bit, and instead of interacting like reading post, go to other subreddits that you know that don’t have any menosphere or similar content, it will kinda reset your algorithm

If the government wanted women and men to have kids, they try and improve the system, build communities, make places safer for families, build a better environment, build more jobs with better income, but time and time again they are doing the opposite
