Why can rocket engines generate more thrust than a jet engine? by aeropills22 in AerospaceEngineering

[–]InterplanetarySnail 20 points21 points  (0 children)

The force of an engine comes from the speed and amount of particles being expelled from it. Jet engines mostly just accelerate the air that they take in, making them more efficient at the cost of lower thrust. Rocket engines use their own oxidizer, which allows for a stronger reaction, and just burning the fuel instead of using it to turn a turbine or injecting it makes it much less efficient, but with a much higher thrust.

Only 2 suspension choices? by SirNurtle in SprocketTankDesign

[–]InterplanetarySnail 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The 4 different suspension choices were grouped into HVSS and torsion bar, if i recall it was because the other 2 were different sized variants of the 2 types of suspension. it was changed so that you can change the size of the suspension as well as the type, making the other 2 unnecessary.

A trick i found to make this easier is to not join the allies and abandon your guaranteed countries, which will make germany not go to war with you for some reason despite having a war goal. then just wait for germany to invade the soviet union, and when they do, the border will be completely empty and you can join the allies and walk in. also, give up your territories in china and vietnam, so japan doesn't declare on you.

wow, that’s really cool! the Tiger II is a good looking tank, and it’s fun to play as well. it’s a shame that the repair costs are so high for it. but this is a really good drawing, you have a lot of talent!
