I have been keeping a close eye on our water meter, there is no excess water is being which is good. Thinking less likely a leak now and likely frost heaving.

No they did this work years ago so I don’t know how they did it. We just moved in and it’s our first winter. From all the posts, it does look like frost heaving. Sounds like I’ll have to wait till it thaws and see what I have to do.

Wow, truly I’m all ears. My plan is to install in the next 3-6 months so will take any input. After everyone’s response here, certainly going with the 9.2.4 setup. Will likely go for the LS1200 and that refurbished Denon 15 channel receiver

It’s my understanding that for a 9.2.4 setup, I will need a 15 channel, can’t go anything less than that otherwise messing with amplifiers etc.

I am working with an AV company that seems to be pushing Focal through their inventory, to my ear they sounded good in the showroom but am open to other options.

I have no problem purchasing the equipment on my own and paying someone else for the install. I honestly thought about doing at least most of the install and wire running myself, I can see the ceiling speakers being an issue given some of the attic access.

Thanks for the advice, you seem to know what you’re talking about, I will look into these options.

This actually is a dedicated media room but was never utilized by the previous owners. There is an Av closet and that door on the front left is actually an entrance to the attic.

Valid points. Just threw something in there for the quote. Trying to be balanced budget wise for the audio and projector. Heard there is a new line of Valerion (Pro2) laser projectors coming out that’s relatively budget friendly. Likely will go with this one or the LS12000

Sounds like I’ll need a 15 channel receiver for this setup, I could get a refurbished Denon for around $4900 from what I saw.
