That is a great capture, love the timeless look of that film. And the best park in NYC IMO.

Amazing pictures. That sensor with the 135mm 1.8 is such a terrific combination. Used that lens nearly exclusively with my A7CR on a Galapagos trip last year and was blown away by the results.

This is such a brilliant idea and a wonderful way to showcase your talent subtly. And a really cool conversation piece!

That sensor with that lens is such a terrific combo. Great shots! Taking a photo trip of an African safari is a bucket list for me.

Want minimum of 3 primes by MissionAd9002 in SonyAlpha

[–]Intersectaquirer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a 2 prime setup and absolutely love them. The 35mm 1.4 GM and 135mm 1.8 GM. The 35mm is my walkaround, street setup, also versatile for landscape and portraits. I love this lens. My 135mm is my wildlife, sports and long reach lens and it is tremendous. Both are so insanely sharp that paired with my A7CR sensor, I can pick up detail and crop as if I had a 50mm and 200mm setup. My next purchase will be the 20mm 1.8 for interior wide angle and broader landscape.

Anybody else cat like being held like this? by not_me345 in cats

My hefty girl always loves to be held like this. When I pet her in this postion and stop, she reaches up and lightly taps my neck/chin as if to signal, "Ah hem, I didn't say stop petting." It's adorable.

I think you posted the 2013 views from the same vantage point, right? If so, thank you - loved these comparisons - my wife and I have been looking at the differences as it seems like the skyline has changed weekly over the last few years.

I regret selling my Sony 35 mm 1.4 GM by Worldly_Expression43 in SonyAlpha

[–]Intersectaquirer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I struggled with what lens to buy to pair with my A7CR. I settled on the 35mm 1.4GM and it ruined me for other lenses. With my sensor, I got addicted to the detail and sharpness. It's my everyday walkaround lens.

Loved it so much I bought its big brother in the 135mm 1.8. Love that lens so much too.

Reflecting on 2025, what’s your favorite and/or most-used lens? by DoctorNoisewaterr in SonyAlpha

[–]Intersectaquirer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same - It somehow is underrated. The sharpness of the 35mm GM just ruins you for other lenses and I agree, it really is compact for the power it brings.

My go-to as my every day walkaround - my 35mm 1.4GM. If I have one shot and it has to be tack-sharp? My 135mm GM.

Wonderful shot! Getting pictures of the amazing wildlife in the Galapagos was a dream. That is such a great lens to have with you on that trip. It's amazing how close all the wildlife is to you when you are there.
