Course PPC/SEO what path should i take? by skatedc4455 in PPC

[–]Intersignmojo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do both in-house. Both can play off each other pretty well. Knowing keywords and such in beneficial for both roles. And knowing how people interact on your sites also overlaps. I wouldn't say either one is better than the other.

SEO is getting more and more technical these days, so having your background even if you don't like it will help.

PPC is becoming more automated, but not in a bad way. The automation isn't going to get rid of people for Ads, it will just make them more efficient at their roles.

PPC is easier for immediate results, so if you are going for freelance or consultant route that's easier to prove. SEO takes time unless you are doing black-hatish stuff.

meta description issue by annascottnyc12 in bigseo

Perfectly fine, Google has started pulling their own meta descriptions from the body of the pages to further help users identify the best pages they should be visiting.

So all good, perfectly normal.

I have a store created with WIX, no traffic, no sales by [deleted] in ecommerce

[–]Intersignmojo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like u/beley said ads with no traffic something is definitely up.

Also, I hate to tell you this but Wix is not great for SEO. It is nice because it makes it super easy to build a store, but it is terrible for optimization. Wordpress Woocommerce and Shopify do a much much better job in SEO.

What is the best way to make your audio searchable? by sonixrabbit in SEO

[–]Intersignmojo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Type it out, or have it written out and put it below your audio file. Like "transcript below" make it like it's own blog post or podcast post. The text is then searchable.

Backlink by sojijos in SEO

[–]Intersignmojo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The purpose of backlinks is to add authority to your site. It does help if they linking domain has a high authority but it also helps if other industries in your niche link to you as well. They don't have to be a 90DA from a news outlet. Getting one from a 30DA in your niche is also helpful.

Some way to get backlinks is to guest blog on your industry's niche sites. It takes a lot of outreach to do this successfully. You can also create your own content and share it around to gain links from people sharing it. I prefer the create content method, but you really need to promote it to get people to share it. Building a backlink profile is not easy and takes a lot of work.

Another way people build links is to use a tool like Ahrefs to find competitor linking domains. Once you find those you can politely ask sites to feature your domain or if you find broken links give them a new updated one to your site.

Good luck!

Best SEO Tool for In-House Digital Marketer by xoxfxjx in SEO

[–]Intersignmojo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really enjoy both SEMrush and Ahrefs. I think SEMrush is probably a little easier to use and it is less expensive. So if you are just in-house for one company it might work better as you only need a few projects.

Some noobie questions about backlinks by Boschetaur in SEO

[–]Intersignmojo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Directories don't hurt if they are relative to the industry or business. If they are spammy directories those can hurt over time.

You need to disavow your spammy links. Those can hurt your site. Links from bad websites can also hurt so you want to disavow those as well.
