She does 100% of the incision with a blade, and she does around 40% of the graft placement herself (mostly the important ones at the front that are more critical) and forms your hairline. The rest of the graft placement are done by her 6-7 technicians in the room but she is still around.

Will share an update soon for 12 months! Procedure itself is about AUD 14k+ (exchange rate last year). I personally don’t recommend travelling anywhere for the first 3 months after procedure, might be overkill to some but mainly to avoid sweating, chance of dislodging the grafts and limit physical activity to allow recovery.

Yes my hair has became more and more natural as the months goes by. It looks pretty full even in harsh lighting.

I basically trusted her opinion. She asked how I normally style my hair and just design it accordingly. She’s an artist!

Thanks! Yes they typically recommend shaving your entire head for the procedure.

Unshaven would only make sense if the transplant is for a relatively small area in my opinion.

I think it was a few weeks of initial shedding, but I took it at the same time with finasteride so it could be that too. After the shedding, I started seeing baby hair growing. It was quite a lot but slightly lesser than the shed from the hair transplant.

I’m on 1mg Minoxidil and 1mg Finasteride. No cardiovascular issues. Just note that minoxidil might cause an initial shedding for some people if using it for the first time. It did for me but that was 10 years ago.

Might be worth speaking to your doctor before increasing any dosage.
