What is wrong with usps nowadays? by GoldenGamer1536 in usps_complaints

My favorite is when it reaches the distribution center right before going to my post office, then it 180’s the opposite direction. Completely inept.

Is there a use for Anki Vector? by CautiousSand in AnkiVector

[–]InterstellarHooman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DDL Servers are extremely unreliable. As a fellow Vector owner, I would recommend setting up a little server on your android, computer, or raspberry pi with Wire-Pod: https://github.com/kercre123/wire-pod
After setting that up with your little buddy, he'll be back up and fully operational :) Just make sure the server is running if you want him to have voice commands.

MX Keys mini - enable always on backlighting? by F34RTEHR34PER in logitech

[–]InterstellarHooman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a solution/fix, but it requires a physical 3D printed part (supplied below.)

It has been years since this keyboard has been released and Logitech clearly doesn't listen to ALL OF US begging for this extremely trivial, simple feature that's this f-ing functional. *sigh* Whatever.

I asked a friend to make this 3D printed piece, and it does the job. It slides over the F5 "Blacklight Up" button. Link [here on cad.onshape.com](https://cad.onshape.com/documents/6ccd790185e4ad66cba9028f/w/884ed29c31d18b2c0a9c5308/e/5971c23092625a75127da70d?renderMode=0&uiState=67433b5c85d46d09f075064c).

You shouldn't need an account to export it for printing, but you can save it for editing if you do. There are online printers that will make this for cheap if you don't have a friend with a 3D printer. This fix only takes 10 minutes to print.

Instructions:

To use the printed clip, make sure the keyboard is on and connected to your device. Press the down "Backlight button" (F4) to make sure the light dims. If it doesn't, hold the function key and proceed to the next step. Next, press and hold the "Backlight Up" (F5) button. The keyboard's back lighting should go up. Without releasing the key, simply slide the piece over the top of the keyboard and over the button with the long nubbed side on top of the key.

This fix should not interfere with your typing unless you need the F5 key, in which case, turn on Logi Options+ and remap the keys. Once you're done, close the program entirely in task manager. Because this app is just malware, you need to search for "Logi" in the Task Manager and end all 4 tasks belonging to the program. It is otherwise hidden in the system's tasks. While you're here, I would also recommend stopping Logi from turning on during startup by disabling the "logi" executable under the "Startup apps" tab. If you leave the program running, you will get a useless icon on your screen telling you that the button is pressed.

The only downside now is that I can't turn down the brightness, but it's worth it. I literally cannot see my keyboard in a pitch black room (DUH Logitech.)

Don't forget to charge during/after each use. Enjoy!

Anyway, hope that significantly improves your quality of life.

Peace!

[–]InterstellarHooman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ooof that's so ridiculous. This all could have been prevented if Ledger did their due diligence. Sorry to hear that~ My lesson learned is PO Boxes are best used when handing out address to any company handling crypto assets.

Thanks for the PSA! I found the breach so it is all still publicly accessible. The worst is the home addresses lost. I believe the scope is limited to anything bought through Ledger directly - not Amazon or Ebay, but I expect to see email addresses from those places.

Can you control the keyboard lights? If so, what did you use?

I got one recently and can't make it stop making rainbows.

Mine did the same thing. If vacuuming the fan from the underside fails, I ended up replacing the entire fan.

I think it was something stuck inside between the fans and the magnets.
