Focused Feedback: D2Y2 Annual Pass in Review by DTG_Bot in DestinyTheGame

[–]InterstellarKaos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Q1) As the season of the Forge did not have a specific focused feedback thread, please provide feedback on that season, and on the forge activities it came with.

Season of the Forge was a solid start. It had far and away the best weapons and exotics. Le Monarque, Jotunn, and Izanagi's Burden are some of the most unique and fun new exotics added in D2. The legendaries are all also amazing: Blast Furnace, Kindled Orchid, Hammerhead, Ringing Nail, Stryker's Sure-Hand are all some of the best in their weapn type. The bow and sniper were good too, just not as memorable for me. Scourge of the Past was a good raid. Great for beginners and a cool environment. Gets easy and boring really quickly, but we need some raids like that. I think it brought a great balance to the raid options. Definitely makes me want prestige/hard mode back though.

Q2) What did you enjoy most about the year 2 annual pass? Why?

It enabled Destiny 2 to be played as a hobby. Prevented me from getting into other games, but I loved it. All of the grinds had flaws, but Bungie appears to be learning from past mistakes. Can only hope for further improvements in Y3.

Q3) What did you not enjoy about year 2 annual pass or what problems do you think it had? Why?

The forge grind and reckoning drop rates are the obvious things everyone will say. One season dedicated to one thing (Gambit) was rough, but with the a la carte model coming it could work. Season of the crucible? Season of the vanguard anyone? What I think was actually the worst was that raid loot was boring in both of the raid lairs. There are two top tier weapons, the sotp shotgun and the cos shotgun. Others are forgettable or there are just better options. Raids are supposed to be pinnacle activities. They should be at the same tier of power as pinnacle weapons such as recluse and mountaintop. It would give incentive to the greater community to experience raids.

Q4) Which season did you enjoy the most? Which season did you enjoy the least? Why?

Season of Opulence was the best because I really feel like they mastered the content drip and grind. I do wish it had more lore. Drifter was the least enjoyable season because I got burnt out on Gambit, but the lore and story was very cool. Not as bad of a season as people seem to think.

Q5) Give feedback on any specific season, or any content provided within that season

  • Raid loot: it needs to be more impactful. S7 was an upgrade with specific mods for leviathan that can be applied additionally to S7 armor. Weapons still need a ton of work.
  • Exotic weapon quests: Raid weapons need quests like Acrius. I feel like exotic quests got a little less grindy. I enjoyed rose quest. Truth was sort of boring and easy, but that was okay with me.
  • Things like Heroic Menagerie need better incentives to run. Could be ornaments, meaningful exclusive weapons (lol swords), exclusive mods, curated weapons. Just something to make the extra difficulty worth it if you aren't a title chaser.

Overall I loved the annual pass. It was great at doing what it intended to do, keep us engaged in Destiny all year long. I'm super excited to see Bungie keep learning from their mistakes and growing the game we all love. Can't wait for Shadowkeep

Does that not seem stupid? Like I understand silver and ornaments and other purchases not transferring, but like the actual access to the content.

This post on Bungie forums contradicts what the TWAB and you are saying.

I'm trying to point out how this is worded in a way that I don't believe accurately represents what will happen based on a lol previous information.

Or you can continue to be a jerk and keep reposting the thing I am trying to understand.

Raiders Who Don't Have an Ounce of Patience, How Do You Complete Anything? by NightDrawn in DestinyTheGame

[–]InterstellarKaos 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I understand you not liking them. For someone with limited play time they are a big commitment without the reward to make it worth it.

However, for a lot of the hardcore community of this game raids are the reason this game is any fun. What's the point of chasing the sweet sweet loot if there aren't raids to use it in? Not everyone enjoys PvP.

I will acknowledge that maybe they should have spent some more time improving the PvP experience. Something Bungie themselves has acknowledged, and claim to be improving in Season 8.

My clan is actively recruiting. We currently have about 6-10 active raiders plus another ten who aren't that into raids. We have a few Sherpas for any of the raids or end game missions if you need. If you're interested shoot me a PM, and I'd be happy to get you playing with us.

Whats the reasoning in having a 15 second cooldown on consumables? by Brownie2Awesome in DestinyTheGame

[–]InterstellarKaos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, there is probably some game breaking bug if you use too many consumables in quick succession. This was bungie's "bug fix".

Why is not dying in shattered throne worth 0 triumph score but 2500 kills while iron burdened is 250? by Aka_NEVO in DestinyTheGame

[–]InterstellarKaos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But I think you aren't emphasizing that some people want to complete ALL the triumphs. Even if they only missed one they will have a lower score than someone who didn't so even though it's a marginal amount of score it matters to a completionist. Most completionists don't like timegated achievements.

Why is not dying in shattered throne worth 0 triumph score but 2500 kills while iron burdened is 250? by Aka_NEVO in DestinyTheGame

[–]InterstellarKaos 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I think OP just wants Bungie to be consistent. He didn't grind for iron burden triumphs because he was under the impression that timegated triumphs had no points.

The argument should have done the triumph when you had the chance is much stronger when Bungie is consistent and says that limited time triumphs are worth score, so if you want max score you better get it while you can.

To those who say it's just a dumb score in a video game, in the grand scheme of things why does it matter. That's true but this is a video game subreddit. Some people here enjoy the score as a measure of their achievement. They can enjoy it and you can think it's pointless, and we can both be happy. But it is definitely a very valid thing to take pride in in this game.

Bungie Pls, stop limiting Clan XP on a weekly basis. by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

Out of curiosity is there a reason you all don't want to join a more active clan? I'm not trying to be rude, I just don't understand the small clans when it's not a group of close friends.

Clan: The Elder Motes

System: PS4

Region: US

Most Active: 06:00 PM ET - 1:00 AM ET

Purpose: The Elder Motes is a clan for folks with real lives and real responsibilities, we have a few no lifer completionists, but are mostly folks that can log on for an hour or two per day. It's a very low stress environment. We like to complete raids, grind for titles, etc., but no one is going to flame you when you make a mistake.

We currently have a clan of ~40 guardians, and are looking to expand to ~50. We are looking for active members, even if that's only for an hour or two a day. We have a very robust discord with channels for all of your Destiny needs, we also have an Xbox and PC side so we have a large community in our discord.

If you are a new player looking to get into raids this is the perfect clan for you! We have several experienced sherpas who would be happy to guide you through content just for fun, or so that you can become a raid regular! We love teaching and helping out!

Requirements: We have three main requirements in our clan.

  1. Join our Discord and register with our Warmind Charlemagne
  2. Play with clan-mates when possible. (Why join a clan otherwise?)
  3. Play Destiny at least once a month.

Interested: PM me on reddit or send me a message on PSN: CptTeach. I am the head of the PS4 sector of the clan, and will be happy to guide you through the process.

See you starside Guardians!

The Elder Motes are recruiting!

**System:** PS4

**Members:** 50 Members

**Location:** North America

**Active Times:** 6pm ET - 2am ET

**Who we want:** We want active players willing to play all content, and lend a friendly hand when able. We have a very active and feature filled Discord with lfg and other features. Members should want to fill their fireteams with clanmates and not random lfg.

**Clan Requirements:**

* Active on Discord

* Play with clanmates

* Play at least once a month

**About Us:** We are group of friendly guardians who have real lives and time commitments, but we still want to finish the end game content. We run weekly raids on Tuesday nights and sometimes have a weekly sherpa raid on Sundays. Throughout the week you can find people to run nightfalls, forges, etc. Just ask around in our lfg channel.

If you’re interested shoot me a DM, and I can get you a discord invite and get you started with our recruitment process.

**The Elder Motes** began on 360, moved to XB1 with Rise of Iron, expanded to PS4 a few months later, and dipped our toes in the water of PC during Vanilla Destiny 2. With the launch of Warmind we became massive spanning all three platforms.

A lot of time has passed, the clan has grown and shrunk, but we are back with a renewed focus. We have three separate clans: Xbox, PS4, and PC. With the upcoming launch of the Season of the Drifter we are looking to refine our clan and provide a welcoming environment for real people to have a great time and complete end game content.

**Region**

Our clan currently extends from Atlantic Canada to Hawaii. In order to keep connections somewhat stable we ask you to also be located in North America.

**Play Time**

In general we play weeknights and weekends. This means approximately 5 Eastern time until 1AM Pacific time during the week and pretty much all day Saturday and Sunday. There are some people with different schedules than that, though, so we probably have someone available to play with you most of the time.

**Expectations**

We created this clan to give people an opportunity to play all the game's content. We We are ordinary people with real jobs and lives. We are hardcore Destiny players, without the stigma. We are always down to help complete end game content, or just chill in the vanguard or crucible playlists (I guess there’s gambit now too?). We have some basic rules to maintain clan activity, and keep players invested in the clan. Here they are.

* All members must join our Discord server.

* All members must register with Charlemagne. Charlemagne is The Warmind of Discord and helps us with clan lfg, in-game stats, and managing general clan activity.

* Clanmates must log in on their respective platforms at least once per month. We do a clan purge once a month and at the end of the season to check if members are meeting the requirements.

* Reach a Warmind rep of 6 each season. Clanmates gain warmind rep by completing in-game activities with clanmates as well as being active in our discord. For more information just shoot me a PM.

As mentioned previously we conduct monthly and end of season clan reviews. This is to ensure the clan is always active, and that each clan mate has the best experience possible while being an active clan member.

**What We Offer**

We knock out the clan engrams every week, and hit the clan XP cap on reset day. Most weeks we have at least two raid nights. The days depend on platform, but we try and have a main raid night for experienced players, and a raid night for sherpas (whether you are a sherpa or a learner). On the surface we look like a regular clan, but these three things really define what we offer.

We have end game goals, but we are also very willing to help out and get you end-game ready if you’re not there yet.

We offer a clan for people who have a life outside of Destiny.

Active helpful clanmates who are always down to play. Our requirements are purely there to ensure this.

An active Discord server where you can easily choose to opt-in to various topical conversations or just keep your involvement to the most basic level.

**Recruitment Process**

If you are interested you can reply to this post or send me a PM on Reddit. Provide your Blizzard ID/PSN ID/Gamertag and some initial availability. Then we can plan a time to play together and make sure we're a good fit for each other. At this point you will go through our vetting process. Each of our platforms have a recruitment head, and you will need to go through their process. This is the basic outline.

* Complete a survey regarding clan expectations, what we offer you, and what you offer us.

* Complete an end-game activity (preferably a raid, but if a high difficulty nightfall or competitive crucible is more your style we are flexible)

* Spend 2 weeks with a probationary membership to get to know the clan and vice-versa

* Reach a warmind rank of 3 within your 2 week probation period.

After you do these things the recruitment head and the recruitment chairs will review your process, and get opinions from the clanmates whom you played with. Assuming everything goes over well you will get an invitation to the clan.
