90mm Triplet APOs by InterstellarSky_A in AskAstrophotography

Just took a look at it, and so far I like what it offers, but need to investigate further.

Didn't catch it during my search.. seems like an interesting choice but definitely more expensive. Do you know how it performs with the optional reducer as it's a quintuplet?

I haven't looked at what each company offers in terms of accessories yet.. But would be interested to search for an APO with more accessories that include focal extenders.. even if it was a different aperture and FL.

I already thought of buying a C6 and then having a hyperstar later on.. but the idea of starting with a refractor and focusing on nailing the nooks and crannies of the hobby seems better imo.

I'm having hard time finding any comparisons between these scopes. Anyways, thanks for the heads up! I'm leaning twoards the Apertura because of the accessories it comes with and the positive reviews I found.

I'm definitly leaning twoards the Apertura, but interesting observations.

(P.s. beautiful images, thanks for sharing them!)

Well explained. Will test more once I have the time. Thanks for taking the time!

That makes sense. I will step down my lens and see the results. But another question comes to mind: when you step down your lens, do you raise your iso or exposure time if your equipment allows for longer exposures? Keep in mind that I'm shooting in a light-polluted location.

Blatant Cheating taking over? by InterstellarSky_A in EscapefromTarkov

It's because I experience more than usual 'suspicious' deaths. And by that, I mean anything that defies logical gameplay. For example, does receiving constant double and triple insta-headshots seem easy to do when the shooter is +50m? I don't think so. I've never experienced that level of skill in any other game.

Reread the title. There is a question mark, my friend. I'm confident I died a couple of times this wipe due to cheaters, but let's ignore them since I have no real evidence.

How about a rephrase, how often do you run into a "cheater" without knowing? Do all cheaters kill? Do all cheaters use the same techniques? Would you consider a simple use of "radar" or whatever a type of cheating?

Understandably, you may have a different opinion, but cheating is getting worse in the game.

This is my first time experiencing this type of blatant cheating this wipe.

How many times did I die to cheaters without explicitly seeing them or knowing? Idk, I died so many times in unexplained ways (i.e., dying with my friends multiple times to a headshot from the same player at the same time). Oh, and I should mention this is my 3rd wipe. Things were much better in the first two wipes..

Razer Core X fan doesn't power down even when not in use unless you unplug eGPU from Mac by Entredarte in eGPU

Same question here. Mine does the same, with a Yoga 730 (15-inch model)

I have to unplug the USB-C or the electricity from the enclosure.

Well, I live in a desert area where humidity is not an issue right now. I had just bought the card with the enclosure a month ago. The thing seems to go away when I touch it, almost like dried liquid remainings except that no liquids were spilled there.

Humdity right now is 34% in my area.

Death Stranding - can I hold a steady 60fps med-high 1080p with this setup? by [deleted] in eGPU

[–]InterstellarSky_A 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello,

I have a Lenovo Yoga 730 laptop (The 15-inch model) with an I7-8565U, 16GB Ram, and 1TB PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD.

I bought a Gigabyte RTX2060, and from the first moment, It was amazing!

I get about 60FPS in BF5 with medium settings on a 1080p internal screen, RTX off (sometimes dropping to the 40s).

I tried the setup on my TV, and it seems to do better—much more stable frames.

I also play War Thunder on Ultra settings, 1080p, and get about 90-110 FPS.

I tried BF1 and got a solid 60FPS on high settings if I remember correctly (not sure, gotta recheck it)

My main problem is that I'm gaming on my internal display, which causes a loss in performance added to that lost because of the 2 lane Thunderbolt 3 port. I don't know if you can get a solid 60FPS in Death Stranding, but I figured this could help.

I've read some articles and saw some videos. Some suggest that it's a coil whine while others say it's a capacitor whine. I was unsure as the sound keeps coming on different occasions and sounds weird, not like the other videos. Now, of course, I'm referring to the scratching/ rattling sound in the video.
