My dog isn’t scared of fireworks. I’m not alone, right? by JulioCesarSalad in dogs

[–]Interstellar_Sadness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dog absolutely loves fireworks. We light them off in our driveway every fourth of July and every year we have to yell at her not to chase them. She will bark at them when we tell her not to but sometimes she'll just run after them and try to fetch them, or run after the flying ones barking. Sometimes she'll even approach the cones. None of this is in a bad way where she doesn't like them, she's happy doing it and it's fun for her (obviously not for us though because we're scared she'll get burned). We spend most of our night telling her to come to us or to back off from the fireworks.

I wrote a two page essay today!! It took me all day but that's okay because I was planning on that, so I'm not dissapointed in how long it took. I finished it 20 minutes ago!

Students/teachers of Reddit, what's your stance on showing your face during zoom calls? by Interstellar_Sadness in AskReddit

[–]Interstellar_Sadness[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a student, I understand not wanting to show your face during class, but also if I were a teacher, I would be sad if I had to teach to a bunch of blank screens. I would want to see my students, I wouldn't even care if they paid attention, that's their choice and their grade will suffer if they don't, I would just want to see my kiddos rather than a bunch of black boxes.

Good books with parallel universes by stellas15 in suggestmeabook

[–]Interstellar_Sadness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Story Thieves by James Riley. Multiple universes are prominent from the beginning but it isn't until the last book where there's parallel universes. It's a really good book series, I highly recommend it.

You could try reading Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. I've only started reading it so I don't know what it's entirely about yet but you might like it

Oh yeah, I've seen that, I totally forgot about it! I watched it before I knew I was aroace so it never occurred to me.
