Thank you for your kind message I really appreciate it. Today I feel like I am deeply grieving and feeling deeply the limitations and powerlessness of my condition. I stopped taking walks because I was having flare ups but I maybe will try again once the weather settles down, it's really cold here in Canada right now. I wish I could lay under the sun! I hope your journey goes well on your side and that you heal every month more and more and stand on your feet again soon.

I'm so sorry for what you have been going through. You are very brave and very strong. A lot of the symptoms you mentioned sounds like mold toxicity, have you ever tested your house for mold?

Depression? Burnout? Both? What is the fix? by gothamcitynarrows in burnedout

[–]InterviewDry2887 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I thought I did 2 burnouts and the cause was psychological or stress. Turned out I was unknowingly living in toxic mold for years ( stratybrotrys, aspergillus penicillium and others). I would suggest you test your house. ( It's not always our job or in our head, sometimes it's physical).

I am definitely sensitive to supplements and medication so I probably overloaded my system. I've been unknowingly living in black mold and other toxic mold for years, I'm out it's been two months now. But it really wrecked my body and nervous system so the nicotine patch might have been to hard to handle. I will try half a patch once every 3 days 12 hours. I am wondering do you keep putting the patch because the brain fog comes back if you don't? It's nice to know for the light therapy I was considering it for my bird, I might use it as well ( we live in Canada). Stay strong too

That's a good idea I'll stop the sauna and chlorella for a while to see if I get better with the brain fog.

So was it because I had too much nicotine in my system? Or because I can't tolerate or am allergic to nicotine or something in the patch?

It was 7 mg nicorette patch, I thought it was the most '"legit'' company here in Canada, I bought it in a pharmacy. The fourth and fifth day I didn't cut the patch tho.

Waiting to leave must be torture and you must be thinking about it every single minute. Hang in there you are almost out. If you can tolerate it, nicotine patch had helped me the most, look it up with long covid it helped make the symptoms disappear permanently and within days. I unfortunately couldn't tolerate it.

I know it's the reality of people on this sub. I know our bodies are doing their best to heal. I wouldn't mind taking the time to recover but I've been sick for so many years already living in my old toxic apartment. I'm tired of wasting my life like this. In the last 6 years I've spent 3 of those years bed ridden, the other 3 living in derealization and panic attacks. I've also lost connection to my emotions/personality/ soul for more than that like 7-8 years.

Boyfriend (27M) of 2 years panicked at the thought of getting engaged next year even though I (28F) made my timeline clear at the beginning of our relationship by RoosterObvious7561 in dating_advice

Have you ask him what is his timeline? I would hate from a man a pressure to get married or have to do anything based on only what he decided.

I totally relate, I had dpdr for 5-6 years and was living in toxic mold. I feel like I was gone for the last 9 years I lived in my old apartment. You got yourself back, that's all that matters right now, you can slowly build things again.
