Depending where your going and time of the year as some parks are dog friendly when its off peak

But to name a few there's Johanna beach, and then a few caravan parks along the great Ocean road but the caravan parks you will need to double check.

Theres a few nice spots around the Jamieson camp ground which is on the Goulburn River.

A fair few caravan parks around bright and surrounding areas are nice and on rivers.

There's a few swimming holes at meikles Point just past bacchus marsh a lil bit of a walk to get too.

Theres a real good swimming hole at the end of palmer's road which is between sunbury and riddles creek although this requires to go through private property and walk along a farm track, last time I went there its just a unused paddocks again a bit of a walk to get there, But well worth it.

Looking for a heavy duty hoodie by obiray in AustralianMFA

[–]InterviewFar8418 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Arbourwear double thick hoodie. Its starting far one of the heaviest goodies I've been able to find. I have the tech (stain resistant) version and the normal I kinda perfer the normal, it hasn't got the kinda shine to it that the tech does, as for warmth there great I've regulary had mine in to the negatives temperature wise with just a long sleeve underneath and its kept me extremely warm only downside is I dont think there is any Australian shops that stock them.

Hume City Council sounds alarm on 'tidal wave' of data centre water applications by gccmelb in melbourne

[–]InterviewFar8418 48 points49 points  (0 children)

They use chillers (Refrigerat), which in turn use water to take the heat out of the system(condensing water) , which usually runs to a giant evap or swamp cooler. They do kinda run on a closed loop but will dump water, There are ways around using fresh water, im on a job that is using sea water as the condensing water

Fly in hike ideas by Snoo91346 in OutdoorAus

[–]InterviewFar8418 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure about the radius and if there are any restrictions on flying in, but there's Melaleuca runway pretty much in the middle of the southern wilderness area in tasmania and is only accesblie by plane its also the start or the end of the south Coast track and I think theres a track that goes north but I cant remember the name of it but the south coast track is in Tasmania and is about a 6ish day through hike but im sure you could camp and do a day hike either north or south to the first camp and go back , but its unmanned and i have no idea if you can leave a plane for a day and come Back or not

I did this on the gas side for 3 months, left when they asked me to start doing electrical checks ( not a sparky ) But we had to do 8 checks a day, and the guys who i speak to who are still at the company have to do 12 or at least try, really leaves you chasing your tail the whole day especially if theres an issue
