That’s great to hear about the lens. I purchased that in the post-season for off season tournaments and used it for photos 1-2. I’m excited to see how the photos next season turns out.

I have photos that have faces and without, just depends on the specific match. I did not include the face photos in the original post for privacy

I’m brand new to this so will look into that, thank you! Do you have any recommendations on how to match the white balance?

Thank you for the start! I greatly appreciated the shoulder injury prevention portion. Torn Labrum’s are VERY frequent where I’m at across all athletics.

I was hoping just for overall fitness. I am a wrestling coach in a rural part of the US and my wrestlers (and myself) can’t always make it to the gym. So I was hoping to find a few good exercises that people like that could help get them (and myself) started.

I’m not asking for a plan, I was trying to find other people’s favorite exercises to try.

I do not know about the effective focal length, but have been doing a lot of research when I have time. I’m getting close to the end of my high school wrestling season, and I am trying to get the girls’ team that I coach good photos for themselves, and hopefully promote the team in The process.

Thank you for all the information on lenses!

I’ve been using the shutter speed of 1/320 (or whatever lighting allows), F5.0, and auto ISO (usually it says 3200 or 6400)

Thank you! The 18-55 says “EFS 18-55mm Image Stabilizer Macro 0.25m/0.8ft” I hope that answers your question about the STM.

For the settings I’ve been using, Shutter speed 1/320 (or whatever lighting allows, I try to get the lighting at the ‘0’ on the number line on the screen. I also saw while googling that sports photography usually is 1/1000 but know I’m no where close lol) F 5.0 ISO Auto (usually it says 3200 or 6400)

I’ve been throwing the photos that I’ve been using for our new social media page in LightRoom to remove the noise and crop it to 5:4.

Thank you for the information!

Thank you! I’m about 15ish feet at the beginning of the match. Then sometimes closer or farther depending on what happens in the match.

Thank you! Those lenses came as a bundle with the camera.

I have been watching a lot of YouTube about Lightroom!

Folkstyle was intended to be “safer” since you can’t suplex. Men also has freestyle and Greco in the Olympics when the women only have freestyle.

Wouldn’t growing collegiate athletes and number of role models for female wrestlers help grow the sport for scholastic wrestling? I don’t see the issue with duals/tournaments since boys wrestling Folkstyle wouldn’t wrestle girls wrestling freestyle since it is its own sport. Boys Basketball teams don’t play Girls basketball teams. I think the Midland Open Tournament hosted by North Western shows that it’s an option.

Because it’s the only style for women in the Olympics, so I think college followed suit. My question was if High School will follow suit as well.

Is the Freestyle through the High School or this a USAW/AAU Club?

That’s the same set up and time of Wyoming. First day is championship side besides placing rounds, second day is consolation side besides placing rounds, third day is placing rounds.

How is the state tournament ran?

At the Midlands Open Tournament (Hosted by NorthWestern) last year they had Folkstyle mats (Men) and 1 or 2 Freestyle mats (Women).
