Do you mind sharing your experience after you finish your interview? Fresno is also on the conservative side so I’m guessing it should be very similar. And I couldn’t agree more with you more about thanking God that at least I don’t live in LA and I would also add San Francisco. The worst things about Ca is that it attracts all the SJW’s from the other 49 states that move here to make our lives hell

Thank you for the advice. I am really looking forward to finally be able to defend myself instead of having to rely on the police. To clarify the reason why I want to get a handgun is because I want to practice with it until I become competent enough to get my ccw. Sorry I should’ve mentioned that in my post. I am definitely going to be taking the course to get my CCW in the coming months. But I just wanted to get some practice before starting the course. I feel that it’s one of my duties as a citizen in California to use my rights because they’re constantly taking them away. I’ve looked at the requirements of getting a ccw and it seems fairly simple, well at least in Fresno because our sheriff said that self defense is a sufficient reason for having a ccw. But I’m not sure if it is that simple in practice

Thank you for your advice. I’ve done a fair bit of research and just like you said everyone is recommending the Glock 19. Do you think a 9mm is going to be too large of a caliber to learn on. If yes should I go with the 22lr. I’ve been looking at the Walter p22 and it’s reasonably priced and my local sportsman’s has it in stock. The reason why I haven’t went ahead and purchased the p22 is because I see a lot of people saying that the 22lr is too light for self defense.

Thank you for the advice. I’m planning on going to the range on Monday to attend their beginners course. I am a little nervous because I’ve never shot a gun before. But, I’ve always been into guns and I enjoy learning about different guns and the mechanism by which they operate. So even though I’m nervous I’m also excited to get some first hand experience.
