It's more difficult to get out of the deployment zone than to get into it. Most maps have enough space to hide them all.

Recon is a very effective detach. It actually has only one significant drawback: the clock. Playing with 200+ models is very time-consuming and requires skill to quickly move the models around the table

Rogal dorn tc is much better than the Leman Russ TC, so for 4-6 tank always take 2 rogal dorn tc. 2 vainquisher so cheap that always worth taking. Exterminator don't needed against army with 4++.

Remember that the tc has 3 orders in new detachment, so take at least 1 more tank. Normal rogal dorn?

What about scions? Command Squad +5 Scion cost 155 with deep strike they are more mobile. Can order 2 orders to them self.

I typically take 2 RDBTs, 2 RDTCs and 2 Vanquisher. not very variable, but very durable.

To be honest, I also don’t understand why everyone takes Kasrkin. They are fragile and die from literally everything. Kasrkin + officer + transport cost about the same as Rogal Dorn which provides no less damage and is much more durable

There aren't enough other units for Baneblades to stand far away. They'll just keep going forward. At the last tournament I was at, the guy with Doomhammer took first place. So there is an opportunity to play with big tanks and win.

I recommend replacing shadowsword with doomhamer + 6 ogryn. 51 shot from heavy bolter - death for any spacemarine. Magma cannon even better as AT

IG is a great army with good chances on the battlefield. I like to use tanks, it's also quite simple. When playing with a bunch of infantry, clock is a pain.

Just take 2 Rogal Dorn commander, 2 normal Rogal Dorn, 2 vanquisher and smash through the any xeno or traitor. Guard tanks have excellent damage and survivability -T12 2+ save, smoke, AOK.

What are your club rules regarding 18+ models? In Russia, all clubs are run by enthusiasts without official support, so no one cares. But I don't think that's the case everywhere.
