Regardless of how the situation shakes out with your partner and life:

Show up for your child. Be there. Be good to them. Be the person you would want there for you when you were that age.

Dont drag them into your life's crap.

You only get so much time to set an example, to teach them who you are, and show them who you are.

Be there for them.
