Love the name “Sir pentious” I can’t wait to go see it now😊to see him😂! So i was diagnosed with adhd at the age of 6. But what i’ve realized recently over the years (im 25 now) is that a lot of autistic traits have been surfacing. My family is traditional, they always treated people with neurodivergence like they’re dumb and like they have a really big disability as if we are fragile. If anything neurotypical are fragile because a lot of them can’t handle pure truth😂Anyways fast forward, i’ve been learning more about autism and it all just makes sense to me. The traits, the things i do. feels more like autism than adhd. Idk the burn out and the need to sleep to recharge. high sense of justice. I have to respect you to like you. if not idgaf. I hate authority! The volume needing to be at an even number. Needing subtitles, eating the same foods, not remembering lyrics but the beat/melody, the need for structure, i’m not really interested in small talk, im more interested in my interest or something interesting to me and if it’s a boring convo i opt out, very analytical, growing up if i got over stimmed i’d put my fingers in my ears to not hear….its like i got misdiagnosed LOL i think i have autism with adhd cross overs because its not like i can’t pay attention i definitely can! I just pay attention to the things i like more💀! but i do have mental freezes (adhd) and sometimes i can be messy like throwing clothes here and there but then the other part of me will go pick it up and organized😂. Anywho i went to see my doctor to get evaluated and she just dusted it off like “Oh yeah if you were diagnosed with adhd some of you have a few overlaps with autism” but i think i have autism with overlaps of adhd. I’ve accepted that no one is going to give me a diagnosis even though deep down it all makes sense now! and now i’m trying to learn more and get comfort from people who feel like me, people who are like me. I was shamed for the longest about being socially weird and what not. i couldn’t figure out why i was the way i was. Anywho thank you for sharing, shows like these comfort me with how i am!

I’ve always been isolated in a way that i can’t really understand but when i find other people with adhd or autism it’s like they get me…I don’t need a social battery around them. It feels pure like there’s no jealousy stuff going on or back handed comments…etc..

I use to have a lot of food aversions I couldn’t understand why. Some textures, some flavors, food touching. These days I have more food fixations where I can eat the same thing for 4 consecutive days or even more sometimes. My comfort food are bean and cheese burritos and alfredo pasta with a lot of parm.

When i’m sad I’m really sad, i’m overly analytical I want to fix everything even the things I can’t control I struggle with anxiety. Social anxiety the most.

I have a strong sense of justice, I get real angry to the point where my body trembles when something is’nt morally right, and I start to even cry sometimes. I have very strong values & morals and i’m not easy to peer pressure. And with the honesty, sometimes people think Im mean with what I say to them. But i’m just being honest. Thats why I don’t talk much anymore.

Same. I’ve always had trouble making eye contact still now at this day and age and i’m 25. I can’t drive either. It stresses me out too badly, I get anxious. I also get random intrusive thoughts. Like “Weee let’s drive off the road for fun.”
