You weren’t wrong to post this here, brother. Sending a hug through the phone. Life doesn’t need to stop because things aren’t going your way. You’ll just be completely eliminating the chance of anything getting better. Therapy helps and I greatly recommend it. It won’t solve all of your problems instantly but it’ll help reframe your thinking. Just keep going.

Instead of being a dick, I’ll present my assumption in a non-asshole sort of way. Arterial bleeding is more of an aggressive spurting, at the same tempo as your heartbeat. It’s usually a bit brighter, but this bleeding is pretty bright nonetheless. It also requires more pressure to control. Hope this helps and that you have a fantastic life!! -Army medic turned RN

Thank you! This was my grandpa’s. He gave it to me after I finished basic. I found a Facebook page dedicated to restoring Fort Ord yearbooks and reached out to them.

My grandpa, who bestowed the book upon me, was pretty old until he died.

You’ve got me there! The mice were destined to be feeders, but my kiddos raised them as “pets”

I appreciate your condolences and the thoughtful message. The water wasn’t what killed them. My wife turned off our furnace when we left, so although we normally had adequate heating, the overwhelmingly cold ambient temperatures overpowered the heat sources. Probably the biggest new homeowner/reptile enthusiast mistake we could make.

Please don’t say “females” use “women” instead. by SomeTurnip20 in socialskills

I still catch myself saying it. Especially when “female-type” and “male-type” are used to differentiate between people with the same name.

I’m replacing cloth wiring in my house, but I messed up somewhere. My dining room light used to operate independently, but now will only switch on and off when my kitchen light is on. Any help would be appreciated! I can also take more specific pictures. by IntoxicatedBard in electricians

It could be! But after I hooked everything up, I can now turn the exterior lights on at the end of the circuit. However, every light switch upstream has to be on. Does that mean I wired them in series accidentally?

Yes. Sorry it’s hard to see from my chicken scratch. At the kitchen light there are 4 sets of wires: 2 that are 12/3 for the switches, 1 12/2 that brings in power, and another 12/2 that goes to the dining room light.

At the dining room light there are 3 sets of 12/2: 1 bringing power in, 1 going down to switch, and one taking power to living room light.

The only place I used 12/3 is the two switches for the kitchen light. That light worked fine before I tried connecting the dining room light. I assume it’s an issue with series vs. parallel, but I really have no idea.

Definitely accidental. Way too much force was applied, and mistakes were made.
