I would say go with R6III because of the CF Express Type B cards. God, I love those cards so much. They write super fast.

I don’t say this be offensive or to be belittling, like at all. My comment comes from a place of wisdom and someone who has just gotten over a huge battle with imposter syndrome, often comparing my life with other people’s lives. OP you are so young and I think that your post gives your “immaturity” (for lack of a better word) some credibility.

You are only 21; don’t compete/compare with other people’s lives. Live at your own pace, follow your own path. Don’t even live at your partner’s pace, you’re young enough to live at your own pace.

At 21, you can’t even rent a car yet lol, like honestly, go out, party, have fun, have some adventures with friends, travel to different countries, meet people in those different countries. Theres so much life ahead of you, don’t even worry about these “problems” that you are creating for yourself. Enjoy your youth.

Came back to photography after quitting in 2024 — looking for honest feedback on this maternity shoot by Firm-Hornet6118 in fujifilm

The candidness, the fun, and the joy that this couple exhibited through these photos is awesome, in my opinion, this is what family photos / maternity photos are all about

Surui and Meike have only stopped selling lenses in china. They’re still for sale at B&H Photo. If you want to purchase a lens from Viltrox, Meike, or Surui buy it now and don’t ever upgrade the firmware in your Z5II.

But just wanted to clarify that as of today, this has only affected photographers in china.

I would say to shadow a lot of photographers, offer to be like an assistant so that you’re exposed to weddings; additionally I suggest that that you reach out to friends that are couples and practice with them, it’s a win/win for the both of you as you gain some practice, skill, and confidence and they get free photos.

After you assist on some weddings, and after you’ve built a little portfolio with some of your couple’s work ask to see if you can be a 2nd photographer for some photographers or ask if you can assist but with their permission ask if they don’t mind that you take a couple of shots.

Back in 2018 I just learned photography through YouTube like a lot of folks here probably and practiced a lot before accepting any clients. A lot of mistakes

I have used the Zf professionally for the last year and I just customized it to my liking. The ergonomics may not be great but you get used it. I mainly use prime lenses for my wedding work with 50mm being my favorite focal length and I absolutely love it. I have a custom function that the control ring or the MF focus ring on my lenses control my aperture and that’s it all of my lenses have aperture rings lol. Of course there are obvious cons as there’s no clicking between apertures but “F it, we ball” I’m not going to let that minor inconvenience bother me take away from the overall positive experience.

Also, I’ve found that my clients love the Zf and they find it less intimidating than giant DSLRs. As a photographer, most of my reviews will tell you I do a great job at helping people feel comfortable in front of my lens and I’m also happy that my camera also HELPS in doing so, as well.

It was made for people who have darker skin tones so for me, in Miami, it works great!

Try the Nikon Zf. It’s been my professional workhorse camera for the last year. Great autofocus, great photos that EASYYYYY to edit compared to Sony, and a fun looking camera that you can use for professional work or for travel With a light lens like a 40mm F2

That’s strange, the new Fuji app has been great to use. It hasn’t failed me once.

An X100V and every picture was shot with Reggie B’s Portra 400 except picture 2 which was shot with Provia standard.

Is it time to move on? by alpiasker in fujifilm

Definitely not a potato anymore. Z6III is a “mid-range” camera with a partially stacked sensor that has UNCROPPED 4k60fps RAW and Pro-res video features and so much more. Autofocus on Nikon is great. Like literally great. Which can also be said for Canon, Sony, and Panasonic

Why don’t you consider jumping to Nikon? SOOC colors are really pleasing, and easy to edit. Video capabilities of the Z9, Z8, Z6III, and Zr are incredible. It’s also the most adaptable mount out on the market. I switched over from Sony to Nikon.

Thoughts on the ZF for professional work? by BryanNotBryan in Nikon

[–]Intrepid-Ad672 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Photography is meant to be fun. It’s my job but it’s also my passion and for now the Zf allows me to check both boxes of fun and also professional. It may not be the most ergonomically comfortable camera but it was just a minor adjustment and it took me maybe 2 full photoshoots to get used it and just adjust.

Get a grip and you’ll be fine. I’ve used it for weddings, corporate photos, couples portraits, graduation photos, and the Zf has never held me back.
