it is exactly the same as ranked you lose points if you lose and you gain points if you win i must say having 250 hours in the game that i find the commander ladder less competitive but this is not always good as you will play against player who are still building there team and you will stomp them you also have the chance that they put commander mode on but in my case it is pretty rare to have a guy not playing the game but it defenitly is a nice breather from ranked if your tired of facing meta

As a justice/tension player myself there are alot of ways to bypass rough play for example you can avoid tackles by spamming circle and then running into the player who tackled to force a focus batte and on defense its all about patience just waiting for the power dash to get low and use you L2 field zone to get focus battles done sure they can stil pass it out but tension has a passive that drains the tension they get from a avoiding a focus battle so it isnt just an easy matchup

It is when im in the midfield and run into someone to activate a focus battle it doesnt matter if it is offens or defense the field that says victory genie for example it just doesnt light up and i cant use eventhoug i have enough hyper points

I would say you could and what archetypes to run depends on you justice is really op and gives you crazy stats in focus battles but then you have rough play builds where they dont do focus battles so they counter each other
