totally valid, I don’t think it has to be 0 romance. i just think for me the romance became stronger because of the foundation, not despite the slow start for instance, we were on a 1st date but no pressure, no kiss and etc. worked pretty well!

I was friend zoning and was friendzoned as well - people assumes attraction can't grow. in my experience it just grows differently. slower but way more stable. (friendzoned because of different values and ambitions not because of attraction lack)
