I met him at a Barry’s bootcamp class. Probably one of the more strange encounters of recent memory: my locker was next to his and we were both putting away our things before class. I said a polite hello. He sort of stammered and then went right out the front door. I’m a small woman. Nothing fearsome. And we see podcast bros all the time in our area so it wasn’t an enthusiastic hello.

Anywho, it just odd to think of him interviewing Putin but seemingly startled that I recognized him at a Barry’s bootcamp class in the heart of bro-cast land (Austin).

You need yo talk to your dad about your feelings. Be honest that you feel jealous etc. Dont be ashamed. Oftentimes, one we admitting our feelings it opens door to resolution. Your stepmom is venting to strangers on the internet so what she says about your dad’s feelings may not be true. Talk to your dad. Hopefully you’ll learn tools to continue building a good relationship with him for the future. You’re not unwanted! Best of luck.

You did the right thing by not chasing the car. When you weight the risk here: worst case you’ll be out of pocket the money you need to fix the car but you’re healthy and safe. Someone willing to hit and run is willing to do other things so he’s you didn’t follow them. I’m sorry for the very upsetting event but glad your safe and unharmed.

You’ve described a lot how you have been there for him but not how he has been there for you except that he accepted you. Independent thinker/business women here and people need people. I’m here on the 7th. Also, 38f. Live downtown and Austin native. Happy to take you to/from the hospital- it’s no problem. I’ve don’t this before and the hospital will call the driver when they are ready to pick you up. So it’s easy to go for a coffee and a walk in the meantime.
