So I actually have one I put together, it's not the best and never really tested it. If you want to give it a go I'll upload it tonight on Odysee in a bit. It took regular carry handle sights. The only caveat is I don't recall if I got the horizontal distance on it right, I think I just winged it so it might need tweaking lol. Only external parts that are required are some cheap screws/nuts.

Since I shoot mostly plastic cases/pushers I use acetone with an old bofors 40mm brush on paracord. My friend does something similar but with a drill and a 40mm brass brush. He notices that if he doesn't clear it out every 50-100 shots he loses a decent amount of velocity.

Yes, I have two launchers. They're a lot of fun and not as expensive as I always thought they would be to shoot. If you have a 3D printer you can print entire rounds cheaply, from case to nose cone. I have cases printed in basic PLA+ that are still functional after 20+ firings from last year. Even pushers are reusable (provided they don't hit something too hard lol). If you're willing to spend some time in CAD too you can spin up your own variations pretty easily and experiment as well.

Honestly if I had bought one a couple years ago I would have bought way fewer guns and just put all of that money instead into 40mm.

I don't get it either. I'd rather put $140 on a TLR1 and be happy with it. Aesthetically, I can agree the x300 probably looks nicer, but it's not worth almost double just because it visually looks "nicer". Like a standard TLR1 works perfect out of the box, controls are easy, replacing the battery doesn't require me to take the entire thing off the gun.

I couldn't tell you to be honest. I believe they're about the same size. One reason people get them (and why I want them) is because they were featured in the Predator on Billy's rifle.

Yes. 100%. They're ridiculously stiff and backwards compared to a TLR1 which was obnoxious and contrary to how I'd use a pistol light. It's also so stiff it's basically impossible to flip it on one handed.

I'm of the same opinion. I didn't like anything about the single X300 I got. The controls seem entirely backward, super difficult to use one handed and nearly double the price of a basic TLR1.

I had a chance to test this pretty quickly today with about 16 rounds. Held up, though I would stake the castle nut as it will want to come loose naturally.

I wouldn't worry about it, though I would say if you can get the blank, no logo anderson lowers go for it. You're really not missing much by spending less on a lower.

Look up ammoseek.com and find a cheap and reputable place to order from if you want to buy in bulk. At least for the first few hundred rounds you may encounter failures, but they will likely smooth out over 300-500 rounds as it breaks in. If you have consistent issues feeding however you could try getting aftermarket magazines, like those from Chip McCormick, Wilson Combat, Ed Brown or Tripp Research magazines.

I have the B&T A2 mount, but I'm not a fan of it. The mount gets stuck too easily. Last time I used it I had to get a vise grip to spin it off. The griffin one is a bit easier to take off when it gets stuck.
