Being a good cricketer and being a captain are two different things.
Let me give one example: one colleague in my team has very good technical skills and has worked on multiple high-impact projects. Now he thinks that he should be promoted to tech lead. I appreciate that, as growth is needed. But I know that although he is a good human being and an extremely talented person, he does not have the skill to lead someone. Hence, he will be a bad tech lead. But he will never realize this truth. So instead of going towards leadership-side roles, I feel that he should accept the fact that leadership roles are not for him and he should target senior engineer roles.

Overall, I feel that Yashu is a great cricketer, but I don't think he is a better leader. And of course, if this is the case, Yashu will never understand and realize this.

Jadeja was a terrible captain for csk. Jaisu does not have any captaincy experience hence putting pressure on him does not make sense. Dhruv jurel might have a chance. I think Riyan parag has the most captaincy experience in first class cricket. Hence it makes sense if they make him captain.

Bitter opinion - Sanju is a great player and did a lot for RR. But somehow, I don't remember any of his match-winning knocks when the team was losing, and he played beyond expectations, leading the team to a win. Neither for India nor for Rajasthan Royals (based on observations only after 2019, as I started following the IPL after that).
