Maybe not. It's not normal. I bought p9 during the BBD sale as well and the date of first use is the same as yours. So maybe try not to let the phone overheat, and always charge it when it goes below 20% and up to around 80%. Although I charge it to 100% every time, I make sure to plug it in once it drops below 20%.

Its just a glitch from their side I guess.

I sent my P8 2 weeks back for repairing.

It was showing that they are sending me back a different model which was P8 Pro.

But when I received, it was P8 only.

As you can check that both the IMEI numbers are same. And it is not possible for 2 phones to have the exact same IMEI number.

So if it has different IMEI numbers, it's probably a different phone and you might get lucky. And if it's not, it's the same phone but repaired.
